Famous collection of Japanese and Asian arts with the must-see beautiful Japanese garden , located in fashionable Aoyama-Omotesando area. Taro Okamoto Memorial Museum is a 2-minuite walk away.

At Nezu Museum , you'll find Asian antiques emphasizing Buddhist and tea-ceremony artifacts , a moss-covered Japanese garden filled with teahouses, winding stone paths, and maple-shaded koi ponds .

The museum was decent but the gardens out back are amazing. Worth going for that alone.

Amiro P.

Well designed private museum with limited exhibition space but with a very nice Japanese garden attached.

Thodoris Trotreaux

One of the best museums I have ever been! Great art collection in a fantastic building! The garden is also amazing with a great variety of plants and trees along with the old tea houses.

Beautiful things , not a huge selection, and you’re not allowed to take any photos of them, so you can’t really be inspired by them or remember them later. The garden js magnificent.

Harika Bilici

Loved the garden way more than the musuem but bring an insect repellent not to be eaten alive by mosquitos ????

SuYeone Jeon

The garden is what this museum is known for. Take a stroll down and you'll find a magical iris garden in the pond area.

Fantastic garden in the back! The exhibition space itself is very traditional Japanese minimalist, albeit a bit small.

The museum is great, but the garden is where all the magic is. I can’t wait to go back.

Gardens are stunning. Museum , while smallish, is fantastic. 1000¥? Cheap ! A great way to spend a few hours.

The best thing is the big and beautiful japanese garden behind the museum , a refreshing and "accurately wild" oasis during summer.

Amazing garden visit at opening or it gets crowded

Jeff Solomon

Garden was the highlight. Museum itself was pretty spartan.

Sam J

Visited recently and was very disappointed. The place is tiny, crowded and cramped, made worse by the security guards in uniform everywhere who kept getting in the way of the paying visitors.

Garden outside is totally amazing (and free), highly recommend!
