Baldwin Hills Scenic Overlook is a scenic lookout Culver City located in United States.
6300 Hetzler Rd (at Jefferson Blvd.) Culver City , CA 90232 United States
Great views of LA - from the mountains to the Hollywood sign in the distance! Quick hike compared to others but there are a lot of trails so it's easy to make it longer if you'd like.
Challenge yourself and go up those stairs! (more than once to really get a workout) Also try jogging backwards up the paved road to build those glutes & legs
Can get a great workout here. Trail or steps or a combo of both. 282 steps will definitely get your heart rate up- but NOT for those w/ any knee "issues ". Wish they had something like this in NYC
These stairs are not for the faint of heart! If you're a first timer, take your time and don't forget a bottle of water!! Especially on hot summer days!
Here's a recent photo of Los Angeles taken from Baldwin Hills . Notice the smog hovering over the city . One might wonder what it looked like 30 years ago. Share your smog photos. Read more
Challenge yourself to go up and down twice in an hour, taking a different path each time.
Semi-intense hike with soaring views of surrounding L.A. Views and a hike , why not check it out.
Great workout! 270 big stairs up. About 10-15 to the top. Wonderful view !! Popular spot but not congested!
Whether you take the stairs (you'll be sweating), the winding footpath, or just drive (bring singles for self-serve parking ), the view is the real attraction here.
On a clear day , you can see the ocean, the Hollywood sign , and the DTLA skyline! Getting up the hill is a workout!
If you have knee issues just climb up and take the road or trail back down instead of the stairs. Works for me!
You can park at Culver City Park next store and take the path between the baseball diamonds to get to the Overlook. Easier and free parking
Getting to the top is an excercise, but you do wanna stay up there and soak in the 360 beauty of LA...
Amazing viewpoints of the entire LA region. ????????
Great Trail - Easy to see where you are going plus a challenging but doable incline and a huge set of trail optional stairs.
Great hike up the hills with great views over Los Angeles
Be ready for a long walk! Lots of steep steps. I recommend to ware a comfy walking shoes .
Easy, quick hike with a great view . Only drawback is parking (and even that isn't awful).
30 min workout - Hike up and run down, either stairs or the winding road . Efficient and gorgeous!
If you are an athlete, this is the place for you. Pros-the challenge and the amazing view on a clear day . Cons-men who treat this place as a pick up spot and moms with little kids...go elsewhere!
Water fountains and bathrooms at the top during daytime hours
200+ stairs. Weekend mornings are packed; wait until 3PM
Want a workout? Take the stairs. Just want a view ? Drive up & walk around - parking is $6.
The stairs and trail are a great workout. Supper well located and plenty of parking spots are available on the street.
Great place to work out it's better to come between the hours of 10am to 3 pm
Great views of the city . A serene place to gather your thoughts.
Great people, motivation, great atmosphere for hiking and working out
Only my cat and I (and a few neighbors) enjoy the private views our homes have across Culver City, but you can one-up us by going to this great spot. Terrific hiking , too!
FYI-Crazy guy will follow you with flash light and dog in hand, down the hill if you are there after sunset .
The most amazing views of Los Angeles and beyond!
Running shoes and a bottle of water. Best time to go is at 7am because it's not crowded and the sun is not at its zenith.
Great place! Can be a bit crowded thou.
Short hike , but the stairs are a good workout.
Good cardio exercise and the view
You can drive to the top if you're feeling lazy. Parking is paid though.
I love the steps... and I accept a challenge .
From the bottom to the top of the stairs is approximately .15 miles of climbing.
Beautiful 360* view of L.A. at the top of the stairs. Climb those stairs, your buns will thank you. Also, watch out for snakes!!
No.dog's allowed keep your dog's at home
Every Tuesday
On a clear day , you can see from Los Feliz to Santa Monica! Truly an epic view .
Bring some water! Look out for celebrities too.
I counted 288 stairs/steps only. Not counting the step you take in between paths to reach the next set of stairs.
Great park and views , but for some lame reason dogs aren't allowed.
Park at the bottom of the hill and take the stairs or hike the path...you'll save $7 and get a free workout .
My fav place to hike
Challenge ur self and complete it to the top!
Stairs are intense....but the view from the top is awesome!
