The Smiler

The Smiler is an amazing coaster! If you ever come to Alton Towers , try and queue up for it at the start of the day. That way, you'll queue less. SMILE. ALWAYS. :)

Like queuing? Not me! Single Rider queue gets you on in about 5 minutes, just you don't get to sit with your mates. Works for me. Ride lasts longer than the wait!

Expect to queue anything up to 2hrs at midday in high season, but this is easily the best ride in the park .

Arrive first thing in the morning, and queue BEFORE it opens to the public. That way, you'll avoid the 2 hours + queue, and get it done in the morning and enjoy your day.

It's a rollercoaster , the coaster is good!

Excellent addition to the theme park . Think along the lines of Nemesis but longer and a lot more turns. Fantastic ride, well worth the wait. [AC ]

THE BEST RIDE IN THE PARK ! Head n Shoulders above all the others now! There is no front row seating but its not needed on this ride!

Amazing ride! Like Nemisis but longer and never stops twisting! Watch out for the augmented reality TV Screens in the shop when you exit.

Awesome ride.. but do NOT be tempted to have a phone on you, even in a snug pocket, unless it fastens tight! #YouWillBeSorry

If the que starts outside of the actuall ride be prepared to wait 2.5 to 3 hours or even more!

HUGE queue but an epic roller coaster . If you are queuing from the top gate it's going to be 2hrs + ..... Bit of a mission tbh

I second the tip to join the single rider queue - we did it in 45 mins rather than the 2 hour wait time in the main queue.

Gates open at 9 so you can queue from then

120 min wait time. Fast passes sold out unless you buy the GOLD or PLATINUM fast pass.

Fastrack is worth it to avoid a long queue.

Busy first thing in the morning, save it until last and avoid the queues!

It's took them a long time to beat nemesis but they've done it with this one!

Use the single rider line to beat the queue.
