Nice hotel , fair prices . Best I've stayed at in San Diego. Historic and yet modernized amenities . Some street noise on the lower levels, but it didn't keep me awake. Close to Gaslamp dining & shops.

Beautiful hotel . Rooms are awesome and baths are well done. Staff was extremely welcoming and accommodating. I was about to drop my SPG card but this might make me change my mind. $35 valet stinks.

excellent hospitality , nice rooms, and plenty of restaurants/bars within walking distance. only a 10 min drive to the airport too! highly recommend staying here if you'll be in this part of san diego

Great historic hotel with a fantastic front desk staff . Accommodating when we showed up late night after fleeing another hotel , and throughout our stay.

Amazing staff throughout the hotel . From front desk, housekeeping, dining, etc. Everyone was just spot on. The location and the historical building is great for a special weekend getaway.

It’s a lovely hotel in an ideal spot but it charges $44.85 for the “faster” WiFi , which is anathema to my belief that WiFi should be a public good these days, like clean air or water.

The best shower tile pattern I’ve ever seen. Also super nice hotel with exceedingly friendly staff . Great downtown location near Gaslamp .

My favorite place to stay in downtown San Diego. Classy , but not over the top. And also with great proximity to the waterfront for morning runs.

The hotel was very nice and the staff were very friendly . The only downside was that the pool was not only across the street, but in another hotel . Other than that, it was a great stay.

Beautiful hotel with suites that are very well thought out. Valet costs are a bit excessive. Restaurant was wonderful.

Excellent place! The lighting is soft, not too harsh and it has some of the most wonderful toilets . Food at the place is decent and the employees are well trained .

Built by the son of Ulysses S. Grant, so fitting that many presidents over time have stayed here (the presidential suite is even Secret Service-approved)

Lobby renovation makes this place look quite grand. Nice rooms. Decent price point for the quality

Very central, disabled rooms has a great view ???? while the ones at other hotels has a view of wall or window.

This place is beautiful the art gallery is unbelievable if you're not staying in San Diego go to this art gallery it is unbelievable

Cool upper hallways. Very old school. Grab a drink from the bar , then go up to the 4th floor and enjoy the private herb and vegetable garden !

Surprisingly swank for a Starwood property. Get the centennial Manhattan at the bar .

Take the time to read the history of the hotel in the East corridor. Perfectly written and fascinating.

Snuggle into the comfy bed and order chocolate chip cookies from room service ...they are the ABSOLUTE BEST!!

Those are high nap carpets in the hallways...they are not stained. Drag your feet across them and you'll see. When finished, touch the person next to you for an added bonus.

The hotel is beautiful. But vegetarian catered lunches for groups need work! Tofu coated in raw paprika is no bueno.
