Neben der Hohe Straße eine der großen Shoppingmeilen Kölns. Richtung Osten geht es, je nachdem wo man abbiegt, rechts, zum Heumarkt oder, links, zur Hohe Straße . Nach Westen geht es zum Neumarkt.
Deutschlands meist frequentierte Einkaufsstraße , was nichts über die Qualität aussagt ;-) Es lebe der Massenkonsum und die Konformität.
2019 lag die Schildergasse auf Platz zwei der meistfrequentierten Einkaufsstraßen in Deutschland
