Japantown (日本町) is a neighborhood San Jose located in United States.
San Jose , CA 95112 United States
121 years old and one of the last three remaining authentic historic Japantowns in the United States this is a must see. Festivals , restaurants and cultural events abound!
One of 3 authentic Japantowns in America. It's awesome. They celebrate Obon in the summer. Go to Obon in your kimono for an authentic Japanese experience.
Get some fresh and yummy produce, flowers , and baked goods early Sunday morning! J-town farmer's market is a great find! Today's special: $1/lbs for mixed fruit . Massive peaches , nectarines , & pluots
I like Tsugaru for their sushi and Gombei for the cooked food. For Hawaiian, skip the one in JTown and drive 5 mins to L&L on Coleman. It's cheaper and better IMO.
This area of San Jose has many festivals throughout the year, great sushi and a weekly farmers market !
One of the last three remaining "Japantowns" in the United States . Amazing food and wonderful people!
Can find a place to eat between lunch and dinner b/c they're closed? Head to Nijiya and get some food to go (pre-made sushi and more) in the rear of the grocery store !
Stop by Shuie-Do Manju Shop for fresh mochi ! On Thursdays, they have different fruit flavored mochi too. Call ahead to find out.
Japantown 13 minutes to the north of San Jose dentist Santa Teresa Dental Center
A nice little neighborhood that's the right combination of trendy and homey .
Not a "mall " at all, but a lovely little historic district, where, yes, you can shop, and eat, among other things, like visit the temple and museum .
Love walking down this mini strip of JPT. Esp. On a nice, warm sunny day.
Parking is free after 6 pm
Such a great place to walk....check the benches for historical info.
Best Korean in the area is in Japantown. Go Omogori!
Parking can sometimes be a challenge.
Turns out a lot of the restaurants are closed on sundays :(
Stop by San Jose Tofu Company for fresh tofu !
Like fresh tofu at Sj tofu store
Roy's station makes a mean cup of joe
Sundays are the worst days to go. Every other store is closed.
Japantown in San Jose is one of 3 official Japantowns in North America!
Like tofu here
The other official ones are in LA and San Francisco.
Obon is crackin ^^
Love shopping at biscuits for high quality dog food and treats!
Where are the other 2 Japantowns?
少し日本がこいしくなったらここへ。サンフランシスコのJapantownよりはるかに規模が小さい。
