This place is amazing, delicious, friendly , efficient. A Santa Cruz classic and a must try. I highly recommend the Peking Chicken Wings , but the baked goods can't be beat.

The fried egg breakfast sandwich is really good! My wife said her breakfast muffin was also delicious. 10-15 minute walk from beach . There was a 10 minute line outside Gayle’s as well .

Eat all the things! I love the caprice sandwich and the Mac and cheese . Get a loaf of bread sliced to go. It's great for the beach .

Everything I have had here at Gayles is great. From the breakfast to their lunch offerings. Everything is on point at quite an affordable price .

THE place to stop if you're driving home to the Bay Area and are hungry. Unbelievable selection. Too good to be true.

We regularly stop by the deli and pick up sandwiches and salads for a picnic . Chocolate coma cookie is to. die. for!

Seemed like utter chaos and insanity amongst rows of glistening pastries ...as long as you take a number they call you almost immediately...tasty napoleons and schneckens !

Grab a number from the ticket machine as soon as you arrive! Know what you want and be near the register when they call your number.

The food here is amazing. I've worked here for about 4 months now and there's not 1 thing I haven't at least looooved.

Come for breakfast , lunch or dinner ! Just make sure to take something home with you. Elephant ears are yummy as are the cheese twists!

The seasonal Orange Chiffon cake is my favorite, Ollaliberry Turnovers for my husband. Breakfast burritos for the morning after, or any morning. Too much to list.

This is one of the best bakeries you'll ever go to. I've never had a better eclair .

Great coffee , amazing pastries , and fun, lively atmosphere . Grab a bite to eat and do a little shopping at one of the several adorable shops in the plaza (pacific trading co. is the best!)

Good food but not the best ingredients. And in my experience cakes can be dry or lacking in flavor, specifically the chocolate , German chocolate , and the banana .

When Gayle's is bursting with customers and your order is simple, don't bother taking a number to wait ten minutes. Go place your order at the sleepy coffee bar . Instant service! Tip them well !

Marinated chicken sandwich is amazing, the oilalaberry or 3 berry pie rocks as does the breakfast burrito and croissant !

Try the Polenta - First time I've tried this and it did not disappoint. Going to have to learn to make this at home.

I had no idea until I saw someone else do this, but tipping your servers is a great idea. They all seem to go the extra mile!

The carrot cake is Sooooo wonderful although it could put you in a diabetic coma if you eat the whole thing!
