You have to try the food, it's amazing!! Everything is fresh, delicious and creative. My top favorites are the roast chicken ravioli , pork steam buns , spaghetti & meatballs & croque madame (brunch ).
Namesake barrels are everywhere in this Capitol Hill bar that serves craft cocktails and food from Garret Fleming. It also has a vast selection of "brown water" as it's listed on the menu. Read more
I liked this place, but the fried chicken needed more salt. What the chicken lacked in salt, the fries definitely made up for it. I love salt though and the fries were amazing. The drinks were good 2.
The Bitches say: A. A reliable mainstay with hearty Southern fare, chill vibes, and a great bottomless deal. It’s the perfect place for a boozy group brunch that lasts all afternoon Read more
Amazing bourbon , rye and whiskey list ! Also stocks rare beers .. we had the goose island wild ale which was a sour beer ! The croutons with cauliflower was nice !
Great bourbon list . The Spicy chicken sandwich has a great kick to it, with some sweetness due to pineapple . The bar downstairs is a great spot as well .
Great cocktails and alway excellent service. The basement bar , while rarely open when ice been there is really unique. Basically no food options for vegans but go for the cocktails
So this could be the best food I've ever had in my life. Every bite was like an orgasm for my taste buds. Mac & Cheese = heaven. BBQ Pork Buns = Nirvana. Burger = OMFG.
Awesome selection of whiskeys and beers . Delicious food too. Careful though, they run out of things quickly so call ahead and ask what the stock is like in the kitchen.
Great cocktails . A Henway is my favorite (gin , blackberry, and a touch of lime juice )
The food was good, my friends and I had the brunch menu , everything delicious. The service was terrible, very difficult to have their attention, refill our drinks and that kind of stuff.
Solid Bloody Mary's and brunch menu is unique unlike some typical DC brunches . Croque madame is amazing and topped with crab .
Great whiskey sour . The fried chicken and peach biscuit was pretty good, too.
Sweet potatoes gnocchi and happy hour biscuits (with prosciutto and butter) were delicious. Tiny portions though
Cured meats are off@the charts! There's a whisk(e)y for every occasion!
The food was good, the brunch menu was delicious. The service and staff are terrible, very hard to get their attention and your order set. Refill a drink or order food was a battle.
Seating first come first served, and don't be surprised if people cut in line (the staff will turn a blind eye)
Don't be fooled by this article, boring bloody...par for the course in DC. <aclass="entity url"rel="nofollow" href="http://www.thrillist.com/drink/washington-dc/best-bloody-marys-in-washington-dc"target="_blank" data-sig="9xEtCaLZLl3aIVsMaaPDeThwQb0=" onmousedown="fourSq.ui.OutgoingLink.mousedown($(this), event)" data-source="tip-text">www.thrillist.com/drink/washington-dc/best-bloody-marys-in-washington-dc</a>
The milk punch is perfectly smooth and not too sweet (and not “milky ” at all).
Try the Milk Punch cocktail , a creamy clear brandy drink with orange flavors .
Crowded during happy hour (which isn’t a bad thing). Great old fashions
I am looking forward to going back once they get into a groove. The product is great!
First time having brunch here. The tagliatelle is so amazing
The food is oversalted and the main floor's temperature is erratic. Good beer list though.

Downstairs has frozen pina coladas , upstair just normal bar
Didn't try any bourbon , but the food was overpriced/bad. My companion's BBQ steamed pork buns tasted like soggy biscuits & didn't have much meat. My burger was salty & accompanied by lackluster fries .
The sweet&sour chicken did not taste good at all. It tasted like a frozen meal heated in a microwave. Fries and brussel sprouts were delicious though.
Must get the pork sticky buns .
The sprouts are pretty darn good
Best bourbon bar in Capitol Hill
Nice atmosphere and good beer selection .
I recommend this place if you like bourbon .
Happy hour food selection could be better. I hope they improve this as they fine tune the place.
Good sazerac and Brussels sprouts .
Bourbon , bourbon , & bourbon . :-)
Try the Louisville Slugger!
$5 happy hour specials until 7pm
Croque madame
Shont ribs
Probably DCs best whisky/bourbon bar and hidden secret. Worth a flight from Miami just to have the amazing selection they offer - Elizabeth

Amazing bar with an awesome atmosphere!! Come check it out!! Totally worth it! - Michele Hartman
Veggies are fantastic, particularly the squash (and the fries). Chicken got rave reviews. And they have Prosecco on tap! - Morgan Alexis
Love this place! Open late and delicious. Hard to get a taxi late at night. - Callie C
