Any night is a good night. Beers $5-$9. Not bad. You can order pizza from the venue. First timers please don't block the walkway/bar to the patio . A lot of indie bands and upcoming artists . [chvrches]
Plenty of places to sit. Small venue , so it's very intimate , making it easy to see the artist up close without having to wait in line all day.
Awesome layout! Bar seating in the back with a slightly raised platform so you can still see the show. Dance floor on the right. Patio entrance at the back left. And cool staff to boot.
One of my favorite places to see a show in LA. Every view is a good view and if you get bored of the crowds take your beer out back and chat up a stranger or stare at your feet. Bring cigarettes.
Funky Sole . Friendly , happy, positive people. A great experience. Place was packed! Great to see young folks digging music made like 20 years before they were born. Drinks were steep ($$) though.
If you're into funk, soul and fancy footwork, then Funky Sole 's on Saturday is for you. The music is hard not to dance to and you'll find yourself grooving out on a floor packed with breakers. Read more
Is now the best venue in LA. Other spots have gotten too pricey or fallen off. Bootie parties, part time punks , funky sole , check yo ponytail and new and old underground, indie favorites
Great parking and good food in the surrounding neighborhoods ! Once you get in the drinks at the full bar are inexpensive . The venue is small but every view is a great view ! Read more
smoking patio is huge, a lot of different beers on tap , intimate venue .
Better than the EchoPlex down the corner. Room to move & you can see who you're sweating with. $5/$10 bucks cover. On the cheap .
Women's restroom is behind the merch table while the men's restroom is on the opposite side of the stage. Be prepped before pushing your way through the crowd.
Not the most glamorous, but the divey vibes & iconic status give a kind of cbgb feel to an LA venue. Order Two Boots at the bar , & catch Monday night residencies to see bands on the verge of success
On Saturday nights you should hang out on the back patio .
The Echo and its downstairs counterpart, Echoplex book the hottest indie bands. Stop by the Echo for regular “Bootie L.A.” nights, featuring DJs spinning rock and pop mash-ups. Read more

Really reasonable drinks prices for a music venue . Can usually get a beer or cider for $5-7
The Echo has the most adventurous, experimental lineup of any Eastside music venue .
One of the best music venues for up and coming bands
Fun fact: Airborne Toxic Event played 10 of their first 12 shows here. They literally had to beg for the slot after Spaceland said no. What do you think the booking agent would say now?
Going here means you’ve gotta venture out into the artists ’ Echo Park enclave. Plenty of great out-of-town bands blow through here on a regular basis, but don’t expect top-list clientele.
Small intimate venue . Concerts are loud and the place gets packed quickly.
Grand ole echo on Sunday afternoon/evening. Blue grass. Cheap beer . Patio . The good life
The Echo: the stage is stacked on subwoofers. So you feel it in your pants.
Great intimate music venue .
Dope, intimate venue to catch a show
This place is an incognita. I heard opera, jazz and rock in the same night. Don't go alone. Not good for flerting!
Arrive late, drink jack and eat at two boots pizza , the vegan is awesome
Best venue in Southern California.
Stella on tap ! Alcohol , music , and pizza from next door to you inside the bar ? too good for words! try "the dude" or "the newman"
Wear your dancing shoes and get ready to party when Walk the Moon opens for Kaiser Chiefs here on March 19, 2012!
Get To Love The Bands Before They Make It Big
Great intimate indie venue, with free residency shows to boot!
Local H at the echo
Pennifest2
small and intimate !
Watch out when you walk in that you don't fall and break a hipster !
Get your groove on at Funky Sole nights (every Saturday unless there's a band playing) - it's FREE!
Sock Puppet Sitcom Theatre . This month, Roseanne. Next month, The Golden Girls!
Funky. Sole. Nuff said
They don't tell you beforehand that you can't bring your backpack and then they tell you to fuck off if you try to get back inside even though you already paid for your ticket. Full of assholes.
High ceilings .
Bring cash for Two Boots pizza afterwards :)
Great place to see Septic Death
Cool place way too expensive
Valient Thorr is playing an early all-ages show here on the 16th!
You're definitely not too uncool enough.
LA Weekly's Best of LA 2010 pick - Part Time Punks = Best Punky Time!
Very small intimate club.
Great soul music on Saturday nights!
Check out heavy punk band Mr. Dream here on March 2, 2012!
Another wonderfully small place to see a band in LA. Pretty good parking situation as well. Plenty of lots nearby. - Lauren :D
Watched Lo-Fang perform and it was such an intimate space with interesting acoustics probably due to the wooden tresses and stucco walls. Parking in the cemetery. - K J
Quite possibly the best concert place to see a show. Under the stars with a beautiful surrounding. It's worth it to spring for closer seats, but every seat is good. - Michael Kalec
Great vibe, good beer & wine selection (no liquor). Would be a perfect date spot. - David Linder
Tacos of course. Don't get the salsa though. Quesadillas are good too. Ask for the special and avoid this place on a Saturday night. - Janny D
The best gelato on the Eastside. So many flavors to choose, the gelato isn't freezer burned, and they do root beer floats and sundaes too! #WIN - Dominique Toney
