Canbury Gardens is a park Kingston located in United Kingdom.
Lower Ham Rd. Kingston Greater London KT2 5UL United Kingdom
In medieval times this was grazing land, then used for gravel pits in the 19th century. By 1887 the river view was ‘unsightly and obnoxious’, so gardens were laid and opened in 1890.
Beautiful place along the Thames river . There are regular regattas and rowing competitions during the summer.
Beautiful place perfect for walking
Go early mornings to see the parakeets. Boaters Inn on summer evening is great.
Be careful when walking along the riverside as there is a very badly signposted cycle lane. Walkers are very often oblivious to cyclist travelling down it.
Nice place to chill in the summer by the river
Pleasant area to sit by the river . Plenty of benches . The Boaters Inn pub is being refurbished so can be noisy .
Very pleasant during the week. Too crowded and 'commercial' at the weekend.
