Roy's Waikiki

As everyone says, the butterfish is perfect. But the vegan crispy zucchini was so delicious. You wouldn't know it was vegan ! Finally, the ahi poke was amazing.

Amazing meal! The Frying Dragon was as delicious as everyone says, but the real star on the menu is the misoyaki butterfish . If you're dining with a vegetarian , ask for the vegan prix fixe menu .

Simply amazing. Get the Waikiki Trio, the fish comes bathed in sauce that way. Chocolate Soufflé and Pineapple Upside-down Cake are fantastic. Do a Pineapple Martini and start with the Lobster Bake.

The chicken spring rolls , crispy zucchini , and watermelon tostada are excellent appetizers . The butter fish and vegan ravioli are very good. The chocolate souffle is worth the wait.

Great sushi , seafood and steaks ! Wonderful service. The chocolate raspberry soufflé was heavenly!! Our July 2021 visit was superb in every way!

Get the butterfish . Most popular for a reason. Every sauce is a new experience. I was sad when I finished my meal. Don't be disappointed by the price and portion size. I swear it's worth it.

Best & freshest seafood I've tasted in Hawaii! You must try the trio and double up on the Macadamian nut crusted Mongchong fish ! Juicy, tender, & non-fishy taste. Red Tai Snapper is bomb also! Mahalo!

Beach walk tasting menu is affordable and offers a serious amount of good food!

The honey mustard glazed short rib is amazingly tasty & ridiculously tender. Couldn't eat it all & had to go to a nightclub after so I took a doggy bag to the dance floor with me. Yes, it's that good.

The tasting menu is awesome. An appetizer , main entree and dessert under $50. Not bad at all.

The prawns with bacon and chard Parmesan Ravioli were orgasmic. Oh my god! Easily the best meal I have ever had. I wish I lived here, I would be back tomorrow. Well worth the price.

The Scallops were a special but if they are on the menu they are a MUST! The Butterfish is definitely great I can see why it's a staple on the menu. Waiters are super knowledgeable and friendly !

Also, the pineapple upside down cake is unreal! The chocolate souffle is great too, but don't miss the pineapple upside down cake . This place is just as good as the finest restaurant in New York.

The Frying Dragon is amazing! It includes Unagi , Avacado , Miso Butterfish , and Wasabi Butter. You have to try this.

Frying Dragon roll all the way!!! They make it different than other island Roys... And this is the best by far! Always the first meal I get in Waikiki

Got the fish sampler with salmon , butterfish and macadamia crusted whitefish . Served as a great intro to the resturant. Will order one of the later two next time!

Cool outdoor bar that is pretty quiet at night. Mai tais and the Hawaiian martini are both pretty good.

The food, portions, and service are excellent.

The baked Kona lobster is to die for -- Big Island goat cheese , black pepper port syrup , orange ginger rosemary butter. Escargot style but without the nasty snails!

Delicious virgin Piña colada and mojito . Yummy bar food try the crab cakes and chicken spring rolls . The dipping sauce is very very full of flavors

I followed the tip on the butterfish and it was absolutely amazing! The escargo is also just perfect! This place serves great food, I'm impressed.

Everything. I just come for a special occasion so I don't recall what to recommend except that I've loved every visit

If you're up for an early dinner , they have a fantastic pre-fixe dinner option between 5-6pm

All of their salads have great flavor. My favorite entree is the Miso Salmon . Finish the meal with the Chocolate Soufflé .

Try the Kona Lobster w/ Old Fashioned Creamed Corn - This was a riff on an escargot preparation. The butter sauce had a hint of curry I think

The Szechuan baby back rib is worth getting a full rack of. Meaty and flavorful.

Sit by the our door bar is casual and fun place to have a drink and tasty food

The butterfish was amazing. A few craft beers . Good cocktails . We really liked the outdoor seating .

Had a private dinner here. Super experience. Lovely food & wines . Personnel is just awesome.

This restaurant , this staff , this location ... My all time favorite. Outstanding bartenders and a great place to grab dinner at the bar and enjoy the great weather and ambiance.

Macadamia opah and macadamia nut tart are authentic and excellent

If you like fish , try the fish trio sampler. Chocolate soufflé was a great treat as well .

Ask the bartender for infused pineapple slices in your drink. It's like adding an extra shot in a bite

Try the Umami Unagi Sushi - Tempura unagi , beef tataki , grilled green onions and special sauce . Yum!

Ask for the patio at booking time. The slots fill up fast.

Amazing. Get the pineapple upside down cake . Be warned, order it early as it takes about 30 minutes.

Somewhat expensive but great atmosphere and good food. Service was swift and the operation felt like a well-oiled machine.

Try the Manhattan - I couldn't decide which wine to order with dinner , so I bought some time by ordering a cocktail .

The Hot Chocolate Soufflé is the best dessert I've ever had. And I've had a lot.

If there is only one place you have a nice dinner on Oahu. Make sure it's Roy's. Well worth it.
