Great hike thru history! Amazing views of the event city and Sandia Mountains . Visitors Center is awkwardly placed considering the size and location of monument . Bring a camera !
Boca Negra trail is one of the closet routes and the only one w/ a bathroom . Hike will likely take less than 20 mins to top w/ some steep rocks. Some cool glyphs but other trails have MANY more.
This is worth your time. There are short easy hikes and longer, more difficult ones as well . You will see plenty of petroglyphs either way.
Amazing! Been to Alb. many times, but this is my first time to see the petroglyphs . Too bad there are idiots out there that deface these treasures of history. A must see if you are in the area!
People who are underwhelmed aren’t looking hard enough, this is a great urban park that offers many rewards and incredible historical petroglyphs in such a close location.

A great visitors center and film . Not the easiest park to navigate. Avoid on hot days.
Easy hike . Very interesting to see the petroglyphs . Dont miss this place!
Very neat! The trails are sandwiched in residential areas which is confusing but once you get there it’s great.
Scenic views and east hike . Try to grab a book from the state park to see what each petroglyph means
This is a great place to hike . Short hikes down below the ancient lava flows and longer hikes up by the volcanoes fit any active lifestyle.
Wear good hiking shoes and take your time climbing to the top!!
Really friendly helpful staff . Take water. Good hikes .
Great hiking trails where you're likely to see coyotes and jackrabbit as well as petroglyphs .
Wow. What amazing pocket of beauty and history.
Great hiking , but the summer heat is brutal. Alas, some of the best petroglyphs are the furthest from your car. How sad that some of the images have been defaced .
Drive/walk up here to get views of the Sandias at sunset .
Hiking , Nature and History!
