Finally! I've been wanting to try the Meaty Legend for so long, And it was worth the wait! Super cheesy, super Meaty, super bacony , super hot, super flavorful! Hands down the best pizza I've ever had!
By far my favorite pizza . Awesome building and amazing cheese and sausage pizza . Be sure to get the patty and not the crumble. I try to get out here every time I'm here. Well worth the 400 mile trek.
Dang! Best Chicago deep dish I have ever had. Which makes sense since I am a Seattlelite in Chicago. Get the Meaty Legend and revel in its meaty deep dishness . For quick seating, go to the bar .
The pizza was AWESOME. The ingredients tasted fresh, they were generous with the portions, and very good service . Definitely my fav deep dish pizza in Chicago so far.
Deep Dish pizza offerings accented with crispy crunchy crust , melted cheese and sauces to swan dive into. Choose veggie or meat choices. Save room for dessert !
One of the more famous deep-dish pizza joints in Chicago. The pizza is good, but not great. The atmosphere here is really what's worth coming for. Autograph that wall before you leave!
Toasted ravioli was a great appetizer to share while you wait, had about 6 pieces. Deep dish cheese and crumbled sausage was amazing!! Just off N. Michigan ave, great stop for a shopping break
So in addition to having the best pizza , Gino's has stepped up the craft beer menu a bit. 5 locals on tap and about 20 decent bottles to choose from. Nicely done.
it's almost as if they built this place with extra walls so even more people could write on them. don't let your eyes get bigger than your appetite: a medium deep dish is enough (400 cals a slice!)
Awesome Date Night Pizzeria !!! Food is Fresh and Delish! Hahaha! even the booth seat fit me and I'm Bigggg & Sexy!!! We had the BBQ Chicken Pizza thin crust !!! The Bomb!!!!!! Yeeeeeeez!!!!!
Great Deep Dish Pizza . You may want to try to go early before the dinner rush. Takes about 1 hour to get a pizza cooked so you may want to order a salad or appetizer . .
There's nothing wrong with a little pre-pizza snack . Make sure to try our Crispy Brussels Sprouts with garlic and pancetta .
What’s my take on the age-old argument: New York thin crust versus Chicago deep dish ? Let’s just say, I’m a Brooklyn guy, but Gino's tests my loyalty. – Adam Richman, Man v. Food
Minnesotan foodie says if you are looking for a good Chi-town pizza , go for the deep dish w/ sausage as a disc. Good local beer selection as well .
OMG what great deep dish !! A crust that just crumbles and sauce full of flavour, a must try!!!
They said small is barely enough for two people ;) so we ordered the medium... small would have been enough :D other than that staff is friendly and pizza was great!
Omg The Pizza is Delish gotta try this place if you are in Chicago the Cheese sticks are yummy
The crust on the deep dish pizza is fantastic! Most deep dish pizza crusts are rock hard but here the crust easily crumbles. Highly recommend.
Prepare you to wait a lot! More than you needed! The personnel here talks too much and work too little! The security guy is tallest in the photo, he talks and acts like he was going to kick us out.
Featured on popular shows like US of Bacon , Best Thing I Ever Ate , Crage and Man v. Food, this place is part of food royalty. A must stop for any tv foodie.
The deep dish is delicious! Skip the starters and splurge on the main, it's huge! Be prepared for up to an hour of baking time!
There pizza is the best! I actually don't like deep dish pizza but I orders it anyways just to try it again and I thought it was amazing .
Super good .... but be prepared to wait a bit. The calamari is good too. Oh... and bring some white out. You can draw on the walls. :)
Love this place. Famous for a reason. Delicious crust and meaty pizzas . Definitely a must see when in town .
My wife and I were here in the end of December 2008 and had the best pizza I have ever had, The Meaty Legend . Now nearly 3 Years layer we are back for the same meaty goodness:-)
10 years ago thin crust cheese was awesome... went today and the crust was cracker like with so little sauce. Spinach artichoke dip was pretty good tho
Be ready to try the most amazing deep-dish pizza of your life! Be sure to look behind the counter to see photos of the creators from 1966 - two taxi cab drivers and their buddy!
Don't order a New York style pizza in Chicago , get deep dish ! Get a pie with pepperoni and green olives . To pass time while waiting for your pizza , bring a marker and graffiti up the place!
Deep dish takes approximately 45 minutes-1 slice fills you up (but you'll end up eating on or finishing a 2nd piece bc it's so yummy-bring a sharpie or white out to write on the walls
A Chicago classic. I usually don't go for deep dish , but man is this pizza good. Usually a wait.
Who does not like Deep Dish ? Tried the "Chicago Fire " which was delicious. Ordered ahead for takeout & everything went smoothly.
Greatest pizza i've had in my life. The whole pizza was just perfect & the crust was hands down the best i've had!
The whole place is a vibe. Deep dish was great highly recommend.
This place is always worth of the price of the flight out from LA and hotel alone! Chicago style pizza at its best!
Very good Chicago Deep dish pizza . The BBQ Brisket pizza was delicious. Nice selection of Chicago craft beers
Ask for the butter crust and sit on the third floor at the bar . Ask for Mike the bartender . He's awesome!
Great deep dish pizza and a few area beers on tap . Small deep dish is enough for two people.
Yum! Great deep dish ! Good salads . However if you are gluten free , know that they can not make crust with out cheese .
Classic deep dish spot, famous for using a patty of sausage that completely covers the base of the crust.
The must try is the sausage patty pizza - meat in every bite! Good beer options here too.
Very good Chicago pizza . Come with your appetite and patience, these things aren't built in 15 minutes!!
Very good pizza but very loud ugly music and not the best in chicago
Might be a long wait (to get a seat and then to get a pizza ). The interior is dark and unique. The pizza is pretty good.
Spinach and artichokes dip . Not to miss. Delicious!!
Their deep dish pizza crust is made from corn meal. So different and tasty! Love this place.
The veggie pizza .. So. Much. Garlic . In every single bite..minced so fine that you can't separate it. The house salad .. lots of lettuce, ONE olive , 2 thin rings of onion , half a tomato - don't bother
Great place for pizza lovers! The deep-dish pizza it's a must! The Small one is enough for 2 or 3 persons.
The sausage pizza is a hubcap-sized disc of sausage in a deep dish pizza . Do not contemplate buying anything else. And grab a craft beer , you've got a 45-minute wait at least.
Fantastic service, very friendly staff , and amazing deep dish pizzas ! Loved it

Best deep dish pizza in Chicago. Service is very slow though. Deep dish usually takes an hour to get done but when it's crowded, 30mins. Deep dish cookie for dessert is amazing! - Christina Chang
Love this place, great pizza, pasta, cocktails, atmosphere, and service. Sit at the bar. - Sandy Piehl
The stuffed Chicago deep dish pizza is absolutely amazing! Had to wait about an hour, but it was completely worth it! 9/10 - Lulu
I've been going to Water Tower ever since I was young. I'm still mesmerized by the glass elevator. The Foodlife is a food court that accommodates all taste buds. The Water Tower is great fun for all. - Raveese Gladney
Beautiful views of Lake Michigan and the Chicago skyline. Fun shops to check out. A bit touristy, but worth a trip if you're visiting Chicago. - Greg Wilcox
