Veal sandwich with provolone & mushroom : bread pretty crusty, though the sauce made it non-crusty after a while. It was pretty good, with a sizeable veal cutlet and pretty tasty tomato sauce .
Custard slice rather sweet: too sweet with top marzipan ; custard rich, pastry wasnt flaky unfortunately. Vanilla , ricotta & sfolia (cream) cannoli good. Cream stuffings simple but fresh & shell crisp.
Sandwiches only come with bread , sauce & protein by default - you pay separately for add ons, so a veal sandwich here can be cheaper than elsewhere depending on what you order.
Hazelnut pastry had rich cream but not overwhelming. Pastry ok. Portuguese egg tart pretty good. Flaky enough (some bits soft), with rich cream. Service pretty good: better than expected for bakery
The Sfoliatella was incredibly, unbelievably flaky - even 9 hrs later. The almond filling was smooth.
