Palamidi Fortress

A truly admirable historical monument ! You can have a pretty graphic and picturesque trail through the castle but be aware it can be slippery and it's rocky. The view pays!

8€ entrance fee. Completely worth it. Wonderful views of the surrounding areas. Interesting write ups explaining the significance of the fortress

The 999 steps are well worth the effort as the citadel itself is a wonderful place to explore and the views from the top are incredible. There are good toilets but there was nowhere to get a drink.

If you are short on time, drive to the entrance. Hurry towards the St Andrews bastion. Turn the corner and be prepared to be in awe of the beautiful entrance. We only had 20 mins but saw much.

Very well maintained castle , amazing view , definiteely a must-see if you are visiting Nafplio or the areas close by!

Go upstairs see the amazing view walk in the castle ,go in the prison they kept General Kolokotronis. Learn about amazing story and history.

The hike up the 800/900 steps is absolutely wonderful and worth a do.. Google “Palamidi Path” to find the parking lot closest to the start of the steps

Beatyfull view . Only 4euros ticket . But we need more historical info about the castle and maybe some of them to be interactive

Magnificent view from the top of the once Venetian castle . In there you can also see the prison of Kolokotronis .

The views from here are breathtaking. The castle it's self mesmerising. You can go by car of by the steps

And old castle tight in the middle of the city . The views alone are worth it, but there's a lot of history to be learned here!

The views were amazing and the fort itself was really cool and impressive.

The steps are not 999 neither the prison of kolokotronis at the right place. But it is a worth visiting and "climbing " place. Remember that downhill is easier...

It's totally worth it to take the 999 stairs to the top!! The view is much better with that added sense of accomplishment!!

A great fortress, with a unique history over the centuries. The view ? Just breathtaking!

Magical view over whole Argolis bay ... Specially during sunset .

Landmark of the city , an absolute must-see. The interior boasts beautiful panoramic views . The entrance is 4 euros and the times change depending on summer and winter schedules, so check beforehand.

Regarding the steps ... it is not a good idea to let your wife lose her handbag later in the day and convince you she must have left it in the WC at the top!!!

So worth visiting! And a fabulous view .

It's best to take taxi to fortress and after it take stairs

Worth checking to see if there are any events as they have regular concerts in the main courtyard .

Climb up the 999 steps and then enjoy the gorgeous view of the bay .

Be sure to wear comfortable shoes ! the view is the besr!

sehr ausgedehnte Anlage mit prächtigem Blick nach allen Seiten; der Aufstieg zu Fuß über die Treppen lohnt sich für den schönen Blick über den Ort

A faire absolument lors de votre voyage à Nauplie. La vue est extraordinaire. On pourrait reprocher qu'il n'y ait aucun musée pour partager la vie dans le fort ou encore l'histoire de sa construction

Παρτε οπωσδήποτε νερό μαζί. Κ άνετα παπούτσια (αν και με τη σαγιονάρα που ανέβηκα δεν έπαθα και τπτ). Και γυαλιά ηλίου. Και καπέλο. Η θέα απίστευτη!

Φήμες λένε οτι τα σκαλιά ειναι λιγότερα απο 999! Η θεα ειναι μαγευτική αλλα ειναι κρίμα που κλείνει παρα πολυ νωρίς και μπορεί να ανεβεις ολα αυτά τα σκαλιά και να βρεις κλειστή την είσοδο...

Η ιστορία συνάντησε το φυσικό τοπίο με την υπέροχη θέα... Πρέπει να το επισκεφτείτε!!!

Μικρός έχω φάει σφαλιάρα εκεί, γιατί δεν έτρωγα τη σπανακόπιτα. Ελπίζω να σας αρέσει η σπανακόπιτα και να περάσετε όμορφα! ????

Κομμάτι της ιστορίας αυτού του τόπου. Αξίζει τον κόπο να ανεβείτε τα περίπου 1.000 σκαλιά του. Για τους τεμπέληδες υπάρχει και το αυτοκίνητο που φθάνει μέχρι την είσοδό του.

Εκπληκτική θέα!!! Καλά διατηρημένο φρούριο. Αξίζει να ανεβείτε με τα πόδια. Σε κάθε περίπτωση, φορέστε άνετα παπούτσια !

Αν ανεβειτε τα σκαλιά θα χρειαστειτε μετά καρδιολογο! Αν τα κατεβείτε θα χρειαστειτε ορθοπεδικο! Διαλέξτε! Πανέμορφη θέα και υπεροχή ενέργεια!

Δεν γίνεται να έρθεις στο Ναύπλιο χωρίς να επισκεφτείς έστω μια φορά το Παλαμήδι !!

???? Λοιπον ωραιο το Παλαμήδι αλλα για τα άτομα που θα επιλέξουν να πάνε με τα ποδια,δεν θα έπρεπε να είχε είσοδο και αν δεν προλάβεις την ωρα που κλείνει η είσοδος να σε αφήνουν στο δρόμο. Ντροπή !

Καταπληκτική θέα, πανέμορφο κάστρο. Ακόμα και αν ανεβείτε με αυτοκίνητο να φοράτε άνετα παπούτσια .

ανεβειτε με τα ποδια. μη βαριεστε, η θεα θα σας αποζημιωσει.

Τι όμορφο κάστρο απλά θέλει λίγο περισσότερη προσοχή και θα λάμψει!
