Punggol Beach

Featured as one of the "Places with a Dark Past" in The Sunday Times (10/01/2016). Once dubbed "Singapore's slaughter beach " due to the actions of the Japanese Auxiliary Military Police on 28/02/1942.

Declared a heritage site, the beach area 1 of several known sites in SG where the Sook Ching massacres took place, the others incl: Changi, Bedok & Sentosa. Sources: NHB, NLB

Breezy spot to cycle around. This is next to Punggol Settlement which is a food enclave. Fishing activity is seen at the nearby jetty and shutterbugs are spotted here to catch sunsets .

Quick chill-out in between work appts along seaside with therapeutic sea waves after having lunch at The Punggol Settlement . Most of the eateries here are closed 2-5pm, except Wayne's Chill-out cafe .

Pleasant view after eating Sembawang White Bee Hoon at The Punggol Settlement . After 2pm, only Wayne's Chill-out waffle cafe , Seven Eleven shop & Bicycle rental shop are opened on a weekday afternoon.

TGIF chillax by the scenic seaside : Stunned like an ice-cream :-P (Variety of ice-cream from GIANT Express Supermarket , next to White Restaurant at The Punggol Settlement .)
