Nice walk from The William Cecil Hotel . Wow! Amazing house and gardens , well worth the entry fee. Would come again. Bring swimwear or change of clothes for your kids! Need dog kennels though!

Home of the famous annual Burghley Horse Trials. Great British stately home and parkland gardens open to the public all year round. Good car parking or walking distance from Stamford center.
They have a nice small Fine Food Market on twice a year, usually April and then November/December
Visit the garden . If you want to visit the gardens on the sound side. You must head to the restaturant. It is free to walk round

A hidden gem at Burghley House. It's a little pricey to get in but you need to make a day of it. Great water features for the kids to play in and then lovely areas for a picnic. A real chill out. - Michael O'Connor
Wonderful natural meadow once you go beyond the fencing and head east. The confluence of the two river too. Lovely places to share a drink - No.1 Kitchen in particular which has a great back deck - Steve Davies
