Yes, the restaurant is nice, BUT: the REAL DEAL here is buying REAL GERMAN BREAD to take home, straight out of the oven. Buy it on your way out. Never put it in a plastic bag,wrap it in paper instead.

Cool spot to sit outside, people watch and enjoy a good breakfast . The pancakes are on point - fluffy and tasty. Pass on any specialty coffee .

Try the Brian's Wrap , but sub the ham for soy Turkey and add avocados ! Super yummy with Tapatio .

They smoke their own salmon here but it does not impress. Avoid the lax (lox ) sandwich , which overwhelms the smokes salmon with a strong mustard - makes little sense to me.

Waited forever to get order taken then order was never placed! Just ended up walking out and going to Urth Cafe across the street. Way faster service even with a Sunday line .

My second visit I had a terrible experience with the owners poor manners & lack of service recovery...however I wouldn't take it out on the amazing potato salad . Oddly, Shoop's follows me on Twitter.
