If you do one thing while in Charles Town , visit the Magnolia Plantation . The train and boat tours were fascinating with guides that were clearly passionate about their subjects! And Peacocks ...

Matt H

Be sure not to miss the swamp tour . Amazing wildlife and grounds. Even saw 2 gators . And if you see the caretaker working stop to ask him about what he is doing. Learned an amazing amount from him.

Jess Keathley

So beautiful! Make sure to plan a whole day here, because it really is that nice. We did the Nature train , tour of gardens , and spent a ton of time in the Nature center with the deer.

Beth Bond

Loved this place. Full of history. Took the nature train . Also have a slavery tour that is renowned. Lovely grounds. Don’t miss the Romantic period Garden .

Jorge Machaen

Had a great time. Walked around, took pictures, took the trolley tour , and pet the animals in the zoo . Overall awesome. Packages could be created to save a little money.

Kyounga Min

The most beautiful place in Charleston! Make sure to do the train tour . Not too expensive , but early in the morning, I like to take a walk early in the morning.

I loved this place. Going to have to have another visit. So much to see & do. Too much for 1 day. Do the train your first.

Daniel Crum

Magnolia is beautiful, but it occurred to my group that you don't have to pay for most of the attractions . There are alternative paths to literally everything. Btw, Dick was an awesome boat guide!!

Colin Lee

Get the Groupon. Worth a few hours to walk around if you enjoy nature

Aleah Nichole

Beautiful! Nature train was great, and worth the $8!

Worth every penny. Nice bathrooms with AC . For better or worse make sure you keep your eyes peeled wild life is everywhere.

Ryan Westenberger

Awesome gardens . Go on a cooler day otherwise it's going to be a really hot and sweaty walk. Make sure to bring the cameras because there is plenty of wildlife and flowers to take pictures of!

Sadie Hawkins

PEACOCKS, that’s all I have to say

Steven Y

The Cabin Tours are a must do on your visit here - very educational ; we opted for the boat tour rather than the Audubon Swamp Garden to get a quick, guided overview of the swampland

Kathryn Phillips

What a beautiful spot! Loved the gardens and our house tour guide Marj was excellent

Remy Paradis

Gorgeous grounds definitely a must see

Mandy P

Great trip through history. There's a basic fee to get in then there are separate fees for the house tour , cabin tour , tram ride, etc. We toured the house, gardens & zoo . It was fantastic.

The map provided at the ticket counter isn't helpful. Just get lost and discover the gardens on your own. You never know what amazing views you'll find.

Jenny Hilton

Beautiful place to get married. I had a fantastic March wedding at the Carriage House.

Stephanie Hartel

An Amazing place!!!!

Jess Coleman

Animals are fun and the grounds are pretty, but the tour of the house was disappointing. Our tour guide was miserable, like listening to a lecture about molecular biology from a cinder block.

Sys E

Is it just me or does it seem like they're hiding the slave history of this place a bit...? If you don't want to pay extra for the slave hut tour you can see one yourself to the left of the snack shop
