Shanghai Jewish Refugees Museum

It is always nice to discover a little part of Shanghai's history during the war. The museum is located near the Bund and the tour takes almost one hour.

This small museum is dedicated to a little known chapter in the history of the Holocaust – a Chinese consulate official who helped European jews to find shelter in Shanghai during WWII. Very touching.

On the site of a former synagogue , this wonderful museum is for the Jews who fled Europe before WW2 and created new lives in Shanghai... you can visit 3 exhibits with stories and the main sanctuary!!!
