Plaza around opera house ALTE OPER, built 1880. One of the loveliest places in Frankfurt, especially in summer time. Located closely to Hauptwache and main railway station in a triangle.

A very classical one, the Opernplatz (opera square ) is the heart of the city . There's people skating , chilling in cafes and going shopping. Pretty similar to Theater Square in Moscow.

People watching , history, historic preservation, and as an American, feeling a connection to the past that was thriving and sophisticated before modern America existed.
