St Bavo's Cathedral

The Ghent Altarpiece lives here and is worthy of the longest pilgrimage. The van Eyck bros knew what they were doing and the very informative and detailed audio guide will help properly explain it.

Nice black and white marble altar, astonishing pulpit and red brick walls. Must see: Van Eyck 's Mystic Lamb altarpiece. 4€ (audioguide in many languages included: be fresh to hear all the comments!)

Stunning cathedral , on the outside it’s not that amazing but on the inside it wows your mind. Be respectful and follow the “no photos” rule.

Amazing place. Mystic lamb (lamgods) is a must see! Take your time to see the other chapels aswell.

The lower left panel of The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb , The Righteous Judges, was stolen in 1934 and never found. Self-proclaimed thief Arsène Goedertier has taken its hiding-place to his grave.

I’m very much not-religious, but this building was astonishing . The size and intricacy was humbling. Pop in, even if only for a few minutes.

Make sure to see the real Van Eyck , not just the reproductions installed in various chapels.

Check the skeleton of the whale behind the altar!

You have to visit this when you are in gent. Very famous painting : "het lam gods"

Vale muito a pena, é linda, tem várias obras, cripta, um local onde se faziam julgamentos. Linda! Free.

Hay catedrales más interesantes, pero sólo ésta tiene ‘La Adoración del Cordero Místico', una joya de la pintura universal que te dejará boquiabierto. Cobran 4 euros por verla, pero como si fueran 40.

Sehr schöne Kathedrale ! Besuch lohnt sich ! Noch nie eine solche spezielle Kathedrale gesrhen...

Кроме шедевра Ван Эйка тут есть на что ещё посмотреть, церковь невероятно красивая. Часов в 16 в субботу попали на органный концерт .

От собора в полном восторге! По насыщенности содержания, это настоящий музей .
