もともと那覇のやちむん通りにあった多くの窯元が政治的な理由と、読谷村の環境的好条件の合致により移ってきた、新たなやちむん（沖縄伝統的焼物）の集合地。工房と販売店の集合体で、焼物好きには観光 として訪れるにも楽しい空間。
登窯が圧巻。いろいろな焼き物の工房やお店があって楽しめます。

工房ごとの色合いの違い、作風を見て廻ると、時間を忘れます。
