Excellent venue for Punk Rock , plenty of pit space.
If parking sucks, try parking at Valley View if there isn't an event tonight. If you park across the street, expect to pay around $300 if your car gets towed, which they have someone scanning the lots
If you don't want to fight the kids to be up front, the best sound is to the immediate left or right of the sound board (via sdDialedIn.com)

Don't poss off the security guards and try to leave SOMA before the last bands set is over so you don't get the crowd at in-n-out
This is an all-ages venue, so expect to jostle with angsty teenagers for a good view .

SOMA sucks. Worse venue you'll ever go to. You'll drown in a sea of filthy children.
