Voted Best Rock Club by City Pages in 2012! The intimate space is the best place to see a band before they hit it big. Tickets are pretty cheap , sight lines are perfect, & sound is typically flawless.
"Hard to spot the front door. This small venue is cosy. You can grab food next door, but go early before the menu gets changed to bar snacks ." -New Cassettes
Beer is pretty standard and relatively cheap . I like it but if you want to sit like I do, you must arrive much earlier than the show... Beer is pretty cheap as well . Enjoy!!!
The most intimate concert place with up and coming artists .
Seen too many amazing shows to count. Did you know you can go use the bathroom at the Depot ?
Summer '88 was all heat and intensity, saw The Youth Of Today at 7th street Entry There were skins in the pit and some of them tried to kill me
Great small venue , bar stools give a good view of the stage.
Voted Best Concert Venue by City Pages in 2010. It’s small enough topromise an intimate performance but big enough to catch popular acts.
Weird venue - you'd better hope the show at First Avenue is complimentary to what you're seeing because you're going to hear it through the wall.

Cool venue! Very intimate !
Hands-down, best venue in town .
My favorite music venue ! There isn't a bad spot for a show here!
Tip your bartender !
It's small, which is nice. But it can get awkward when the stage is at knee level and the musician 's crotch is eye level.
Best small venue ever
Now they only serve $3 PBRs until 10pm. But they're still $3 until 11pm at The Depot ! Apparently they think we need more exercise.
The Strange Heroes! Super awesome.
Bathroom Review: Previously one of the worst bathrooms in Minneapolis, they've redone it and now it's pretty nice. There's also the option of crossing over to The Depot and using that one.
One of the most intimate show venues in the Twin Cities

A surprisingly good music venue. Friendly staff and an intimate setting. - Stephen Koontz
Love the space, it's wide enough that you can see wherever you're standing and not too deep so you're always pretty close to the stage. Large bathrooms too. - Quinn M
