To commemorate the liberation of the Second World War, every September 18 the liberation fire is brought from Bayeux (France) to burn at the Town Hall in Eindhoven. On this date in 1944 Eindhoven was liberated.

One of the main squares of the city , next to the train station , shopping mall and the shopping avenue. there are macdonals on this square but small ones and not worthy.
