The tour cost $16, but I loved. You got to walk around UN, know more about their story and projects they are involved. Higly recommended if you love IR.

Taking a tour ? Arrive there early to go through security! We got there 45 minutes early and just barely made it.

If you are a stand-in delegate from your country , give yourself an extra hour for them to contact your embassy and confirm you, and put diplomat plates on your drivers' car before you go to meetings.

Contemplate war and peace in the UN Meditation Room. It's not part of the tour , but open to the public. Hang a left at the Chagall stained glass window .

The museum is cool and free, but existe a guide tour and is pay.

Do the $20 tour . Get the tickets across the road . Worth it.

The Secretariat and General Assembly Buildings are undergoing renovation works which are expected to be completed by 2013. Don't expect to take great pictures of these architectural landmarks .

It feels different to visit UN HQs to carry out a special mission~

Do the tour and ask the UN to make it more interesting in the entrance to attract the general public :-)

The visitor entrance is at 46th street. Check-ins are across the street.

Very important to have a guided tour so you don't miss anything.
