Dedicated on November 19, 2000, the Katyn Memorial commemorates the 22,000 estimated Polish military officers , police , intellectuals and civilian prisoners of war executed by the NKVD, in 1940
Moving, glad to know this monument exists.
Over 20,000 Polish persons died at the order of Stalin during the Katyn Forest Massacre.
