I love the “simple preparations” — you can add grilled salmon , chicken or steak to their absolutely perfect green salad . It’s a delicious, simple meal.
Scallop with tequila lime ice appetizer is amazing. The venison medallions are great. Top it all off with a West End Manhattan ...one of the smoothest and well balanced drinks I've ever had.
From Washingtonian: bottomless mimosas in unusual flavors, poached eggs (Benedicts, crabcake with hollandaise ), chiles rellenos , pickled herring , buttermilk biscuits
The brunch is great! Small plates & delicious mimosas ! Try the cheese plate (under desserts ) & the White Peach Vanilla mimosa - they pair perfectly! I also recommend the ceviche for non-brunch hours.
You can count on good burgers and soups but the standout dish is the most out-there: a salt-rimmed margarita glass filled with lime-marinated bay scallops , tequila ice, and sour cream .
Shrimp tempura is very good. Don't think it was great tempura (coating was off a bit), but it was possibly about the best fried shrimp I've had in recent memory.
The gnudis are heaven. The service is awesome and they sometimes have festivals with set menus for 50usd.
Clam linguine was perfect
Outstanding: tomato soup , French onion soup , beet salad , butterscotch pudding !
medium well burger with enough extra melted cheese (white cheddar , gruyer , swiss...) for the jalepeño slices to get lost in. unfortunately adding bacon is subject to inconsistent post brunch supply
The mussels and lost bread are great! Super nice staff !
Best mussels in dc. Their Branzino fish is best in DC. Nice wine list .
The scallop marguerita is spectacular - make sure you try it!
The mussels and cider glazed grilled porkchops are incredible. Finish your meal with the Coffee Almond Fudge Ripple Sunday.
Kale Salad was great
Food was amazing. Def check out the veal cheeks

You MUST get the scallop martini . It is incredible, especially the sorbet on top.

They simply make the best grilled fish .
The best crab cakes I've ever had
Had Brunch at Ris and it was awesome, the Huevos Rancheros were really good.
Try the Scallop Margarita
Margarita scallops
Save room for the pecan carrot cake . Delicious!
Loved the Grouper special. Great atmosphere - vibrant but not overly loud .
Bread pudding rocks.
Try Jojo's dark 'n stormy at the bar . Fresh ginger beer . Best ever!
Terrific crab - softshell and cake .
Try the Bouillabaisse . It is great!
Careless service and not honoring reservation requests. Ris has become a shadow of its former self. Shame!
Great burger
The Chicken Pasole is fantastic
Not sure why this gets such high ratings, really nothing that stood out. Food ok, drinks below par and service so so.
The Gnudi dumplings and the Tuna/Scallop martini were divine!
French onion soup
Steak is awrsome
Great place but the wait is a bit long!
Incredible lunch spot !
Mushroom pappardelle is great! Try it!
The Harvestini - JoJo's best so far
Wish my gnudi dumplings could have lasted forever. Sooo good.
Try the French Onion Soup ! It's amazing.
I have a thing for the chicken pot pie .
