I love the cabins , cannons and reenactments. If you get the chance don't forget the visitors center they have souvenirs and display cases of artifacts found on the grounds .

SO many awesome trails to explore and the rangers are very knowledgeable . Listen to the history or take a hike -- either way, your time won't be wasted here.
Beautiful, well-designed park . Highly recommend renting an electric bike to cruise the park and stop off at the historic sites/monuments.

Valley Forge offers a glimpse into the Revolutionary War. Explore by car or on foot guided by the free cell phone tour , (484) 396-1018. Admission to the park and to Washington’s Headquarters is free.

Great trails for running, biking , and even hiking ! Especially beautiful in the fall. Check out the historical movie in the visitors' center if you have time.
They give military discounts for the trolley tour ! Did the trolley tour and really enjoyed it! We learned a lot about Valley Forge an it wasn't boring at all!
If the soldiers survived winter without shoes , you probably don't need them either.
The buildings such as the Visitor Center and Washington's Headquarters are open 9-5, but the park grounds are open sunrise to sunset !
Visit Valley Forge when the weather is nice and you want to enjoy the great outdoors. Escape to Valley Forge when the zombie apocalypse hits. Remember zombies can't climb trees !
Great place for a long, pretty, peaceful walk with the dog or the kid or the spouse or any combination of the three!
If you drive through the park , be sure and cross the old covered bridge that crosses the Valley Forge stream. You can park and have several choices for a pick-nic.

We hope you're wearing a Tricorn Hat. Either way, stop in at the Cabin Chapel Shop for fresh homemade soups & the area’s best hot dogs .
If you like watching trains , get a parking spot at the Port Kennedy Station on the east end of the park or sit on a bench at the main station near Washington's Headquarters .
The auto tour at Valley Forge is well worth it. If you go make sure to stop at George Washington's headquarters

Brand new pedestrian bridge to Betzwood and the Schuylkill River Trail - Elizabeth
Take a nice hike on the trail after the restrooms. Go along the ridge, then take the path down the hill and follow the stream all the way back. Splash in the water during summer. - Ryan Miller
