Karlštejn Castle

Breath taking views . You can get to the castle walking or by horse (150cz per person) basic tour inside the castle every 10 minutes but different by language. To me the only MUST tour .

Guided tour is waste of money (270 Kr per person, lasts for an hour). The given information is dense and easily forgotten. But this tour is the only way to get inside the castle and walk the walls.

The place is not so far from Prague . Small town but the castle is really nice! I recommend to take a tour inside! Have a great walk around!

It’s really lovely place to visit near by Prague . Hop in a train for 30min it’s worth it. It used to be important site during the reign of Charles IV.

Very pretty Castle near Prague . The town is nice as well . Worth visiting the area, not so much the interior of the castle unless you like middle age style

Beautiful castle from the middle Ages.It is possible to visit it with a guided tour but it is cheaper without the guide.There is a 45minute uphill walk from the train station

Beautiful place and spectacular views from towers. Free parking under trees , that will save your car from the sun, on the field located next hill , ca 1 km from the castle .

Rightfully the second best known and most visited castle in the Czech Republic. It was originally build to protect crown jewels and this purpose is much reflected in its pompous decoration.

If you are in Prague it's a good opportunity to visit the castle . Nice surrounding and landscape on the way . Tour inside the castle not really needed as there is not to much to see

Don't do the 3rd tour if you are looking for an open air view . Also, little information by the tour guide (or better calling him door opener).

Beautiful castle , but they only let you in on a guided tour , and even then to a limited portion. Lame.

Nice castle and view . But: Need restroom ? Pay. Do you want your tour in english? Pay 100kc more. Would you like to take some pics of interiour? Only for a fee

Beautiful town ! It's about a hour outside of Prague , if your in this region you should go.

If you want to go for the full castle tour , it makes sense to buy ticket in advance

You have to get a tour to visit the castle . The times online don't match if you get from ticket office . There is no need to prebook.

Quite a massive trek up hill . There is a 100 kr taxi from car park . I advise to drop off any guest then park up and take taxi .

Dont buy photo license if it one tour . Like tour nr1. nothing to picture. 170czk for student. Better in summer then other towers are open

Not recommended with small child,no audio solution,guide tries to speak loud ,after the first room we were asked to leave the group,which means didn't see anything!

Наверное один из самых главных и знаменитых замков Чехии. Стоит посетить,особенно если хотите узнать больше об истории страны . Замок стоит на холме ,так что приготовитесь к подъёму :)

Съездить стоит! Экскурсия непринужденная, слушается легко, длится час. Идти пешком придется в крутую гору , но от станции ходят такси . 100Кс/чел.(микроавтобус), на обычной машине, возможно, дешевле.

Прекрасное место для активного отдыха ) пешком идти достаточно прилично , да в гору . Но можно взять лошадей . Летом холодная медовина, осенью горячая . С трыдлом ничего нет лучше )))

За сувенирами лучше ехать сюда, дешевле чем в праге плюс удовольствие от замка ! В магазинчиках есть хрусталь, фарфор , пивные бокалы , магниты, деревянные игрушки и много чего еще! Не пожалеете.

Перекусить советую в ресторане Звериновы Ходы. Отличная дичь подается до 16.00. Спуститься к ресторану можно по лесной тропе, далее 40м направо. Цены демократичные.

Красивое место, стоит посетить. К сожалению, просто пройти нельзя, только купив экскурсию с гидом на чешском или английском языке

Слева от выхода из замка бежит лесная тропинка, по ней можно спустить с холма и снова повернув налево увидеть панораму всего замкового великолепия на вершине. Далее дорога выходит на главную улицу

Подстава: приехали, а замок закрыли на 2 месяца (до конца февраля 2014). Это в период январских праздников. А городок все равно очень милый, и сувениры дешевле, чем в Праге.

Для просмотра колодезной башни не обязательно брать экскурсию , в нее свободный доступ. В замок - только с гидом , экскурсии по расписанию , узнавайте время заранее.

По дороге в замок в сувенирных лавках можно спросить русский аудиогид 1 экскурсии . В замке тоже есть русский гид , но расписания нет, я была на 13-10, остальные экскурсии постоянно только на чешском.

Сувениры в районе замка дешевле, чем в Праге. Если будете посещать замок зимой , то не забудьте хорошо одеться, замок не отапливается с 15 века !
