If you're driving a sedan on a rainy day: DO NOT drive here. You'll need a 4x4. You will not make it back. I'm serious. Otherwise; this is home to the biggest waves in Maui.

Cool location, you need a good 4x4 type car to get there and be willing to hike a scary hike to get there though.

The waves when it's big

It's an adventure to get there. You won't see much unless the weather is just right.

Bring binoculars . It's a long way down. Watching the surfers is so relaxing.

Don't assume there's no close parking . Saw many people trekking from Hana Hwy but there is a pretty large parking area 2-3 miles down the dirt road . It's a dirty , dusty, nasty hike . No beach access .
