Truly German atmosphere! Try the Kartoffelpfannkuchen, they're very good, and pair them with a house beer . :) During the summertime I highly recommend the Biergarten - nice views to the marina .

If you like salads , you have to try the Munich Market Salad (here with glazed salmon - extra) 'cause it's absolutely delicious. ???????????? The other one in the pic is the Brewer's Cobb (which was huuuge).

If you're thinking about ordering an appetizer , go for the Kartoffelpfannkuchen (potato pancakes ), they're delicious. Also, choose a table by the river , in their Biergarten .

I don't usually like pretzels , but this one is soooo good. It's giant (Giant pretzel combo), soft and comes with 3 dips that are just yummy. Pair it with a cold beer ????

I just discovered their terrace that is not facing the river and it's great if a quiet night is what you want. Hidden gem :)

The Hofbra was a fond memories of a recent trip to Pittsburgh: great food, good drinks, & awesome music . Never seen people dance on tables before, at least until I dined here anyway. :-)

Plan to spend about two hours, slowly working through apps and beer then lunch/dinner. The pretzels were good, the beer cheese made them great. The brats were wonderful. The dunkel is excellent!

If you come on the first Wednesday of the month at 7pm, prepare for a German beer celebration. The menu has lots of good appetizers for you and your friends to share.

The beer is good for a chain restaurant ..and, they are trying hard to make the atmosphere as close the the Munich Hoffbrauhaus as they can.

Authentic food and drinks and great atmosphere. Live ompah band make for a great experience.

The fried pickles were very good. I also really enjoyed the Hofbrauhaus Bratwurst Chili and the Dunker Bourbon Chicken sandwich . Our waitress was very nice.

When the weather is nice, be sure to sit out in the beer garden along the river . You'll have a great view and it's a lot quieter than the beer hall.

great for groups only they have a no call/adv reservation policy so you have to get your group on a list then wait until tbl avail so requires some strategy for fun!

It's definitely the Americanized version of the real Hofbrauhaus, but it's still great. Don't order the American food . Go for the brats !

I'm all about the pretzels here! Even without the cheese dip , the pretzels are great. Not much of you don't eat pork , like me.

This place is awesome!!!! I recommend anyone going to or through Pittsburgh to stop in and try it out. I will definitely be going back.

If you want a giant plate of meat, and great German beer , this is your place. Also the best kraut I think I've ever had.

Gets noisy and crazy at night, hard to navigate when you're in a small group. Get the pretzels for obvious reasons.

Hofbräu has good German food with a nice view of the river but is much more chain like that the Penn Brewery .

Head down to the beer garden . It’s a better atmosphere and you don’t have to wait for a table!

Isn't as big as the Munich one, but has great view and great beer . Heif Weisz is the best!

Bier cheese fries and spinach dip were great! Get a liter of the seasonal biers and relax. :)

My accomplice here was the beer drinker, but I had the potato soup which was awesome and chocolate cake , which was also awesome.

They have good German foods and good pretzels too.

The dark seasonal beer was delicious. Sauer Kraut Balls were awesome as well .
