Wonderful place. I started with no map as the visitor center was closed. Bear Valley Trail seems not to be a loop. Got lost and ended up walking 23km. Enjoyed it a lot, but next time I'll get the map!
Very pretty. Mostly flat, often shaded trail . Lots of people. Can bike the first 3 miles then hike on. Some beautiful tree canopies and nice fields .
Beautiful flat trail through the trees . Bring water.
approximately a 9 mile round trip from trail head to Arch Rock, mostly shaded

Phenomenal views—granted all the rain has made things beautifully green—and surprisingly empty as far as fellow hikers. - Paul Berens
The views are surprisingly underwhelming. - Stefan D.
