Find your way up the hill to the stand making the black eggs in the sulfur springs . Sold in bags of 5 for $5. Said to add 7 years o your life. We had two each.

The black eggs of Owakudani. The eggs are cooked in the hot spring here, and the shells are blackened by the sulphur , and eating these eggs are said to prolong one's life by seven years

The walking paths are still all closed off due to dangerous gases etc so you can only get here via ropeway or car. If you come by car on a weekend be prepared for a long wait for parking

Despite the sulfur smell, it’s an Awesome place! Try the black eggs ! Legend says that if you eat one, you get extra 7 years of life!

Great view of Mt Fuji from Owakudani. Make sure to bring an extra jacket/fleece as its much colder and windier the s hope that up

Should try the eggs here. Although they taste exactly like the normal boiled eggs , one egg here would let you live 7 more years

Fresh air , spectacular view , you can see how the sulfur was being extracted underneath the mountain .

Holy land of black egg eater tribe!

Make sure to choose a good weather day, I didn't see anything when I visit the place.

Unfortunately too many tourist here and egg shell are spread everywhere:( Mind your steps!

You can smell sulfur and you can try their specialty black egg .

You can see volcanic eruptions! Smells like rotten egg tho

Looking at a volcano , trying black eggs and smelling sulfur are funny experiences .

早雲山からロープウェイ で一つ目の駅。天気が良ければ富士山見えるらしいが、自分は霧が酷くて何も見えない日でした。お土産 買えるショップやレストラン もあったので、天候良い日に来て、のんびりお昼 も食べて、みたいなのが良さそう。黒たまごが名物。

地熱を利用して作られたゆで卵 が販売されている。当地で湧いている温泉 に含まれる硫黄と鉄分が結びつき黒い硫化鉄となり卵 の殻に付着して、黒く変色していること から黒玉子 と呼ばれる。黒玉子 は1個 食べると7年寿命が延びるというふれこみである

白煙が上がり大地の躍動を実感すること ができます。ここに来たら名物「黒たまご」をご賞味ください。1つ食べれば7年長生き、と言われています。殻は真っ黒ですが、殻をむけばいつものゆでたまごです。

구로타마고 한개 먹으면 7년 더 산다는데 점심먹지 말고 다섯개 다 먹으면 35년 잊어버린거임! 오뎅국물과 함께 먹으면 술술 잘 넘어감! 다 먹고는 끝까지 올라가서 후지산 배경으로 사진찍고 내려오시면 오오와쿠다니 정복완료! 참 아이스크림도 맛있음 ㅋ

黒たまご、昔より味がさっぱりして美味しくなったように思う。5個 セット売りだったけど余裕で食べ切れた(｀・ω・´)

黒たまごは5個 500円でバラ売りはされていません。一人旅行の方は持ち帰って旅館で食べると良いでしょう。

ロープウェイ の駅レストラン で食事したが、店員さんも親切で落ち着いて食事ができたのが良かった。

Si vous ne craignez pas trop les odeurs de souffre, achetez des "black eggs" au bout du chemin . Ces oeufs durs à la coquille noire ont un leger goût souffré.

一昨年の台風で上までは行けませんでしたが、箱根ならではを味わえます。

黒卵 は５個 セットで500円。上の販売所では飲み物が売ってないので、駐車場 辺りの売店で買っておくといいかも
