The Ecology Center has operated certified farmers' markets in Berkeley since 1987. Farmers' markets are festive, family-friendly, open-air marketplaces where California farmers bring fresh, locally-grown fruits, nuts, vegetables, and farm-processed foods to sell directly to consumers.

Inaugural experience: the morning after a party while still a little drunk. It's a wholesome city friendly event if you're looking to leisurely people-watch while being surrounded by beautiful fruit .
Favorites include the three twins ice cream , frog hollow crisps, and the Thai food snapper ! Plenty of delicious fruits to sample too of course! Love the selection here. :)

get there early on Saturdays for the best pickings. by the time I usually get there around 1pm, alot of the good stuff is already gone.
I go here for the impeccable phoenix pastificio rustic olive bread . I can never resist chomping into it immediately!
