Dr. Hogly Wogly's Tyler Texas BBQ

The brisket is perfect and the pulled pork is pretty yummy too. Unfortunately no kids' menu but made do, and the little ones get free lemonade (although it's only a powdered mix style).

They have a very tender brisket and they make their own bread which is soft and delicious they have a great barbecue sauce and generous portions .

Opened 1969. Simple, wood paneled walls and booth-styled BBQ joint . Small outdoor seating area .

Try the Texas Two Step sandwich . Brisket and hot links topped with Mac salad .

I would never share a plate here. The bbq brisket makes for amazing leftovers. And if for some odd reason you don't order the brisket , you're doing it wrong.

Get the beef brisket , it's heavenly. Also get a half loaf of bread for yourself, you will not want to share.

Everything here is good, I've never had an issue with them and its so worth the drive all the way fr Anaheim!

Avoid the sauce -- as a Texan , I feel it's way too sweet. The brisket was doused in sauce, so I felt disappointed. The bread , the hot links , the macaroni salad , and the spare ribs were fantastic.

Try everything. You truly can't go wrong. They cater my every event . BBQ makes everything better!!

Not the best BBQ spot but definitely authentic Texan BBQ . Great ribs .

This place was amazing when I first moved to LA circa 1986. That was a long time ago...and a lot has changed...a lot. Skip this one. Jus sayin'

I called at 9:00 to see if they were open until 10pm. THEY ARE NOT! they said that they close at 9:30 tonight. I said I will be right there. I came down but at 9:20 they were closed.

The BBQ chicken is to die for.

Finally tried this place with my hometown in the name, and sadly it gets a C. One note flavors, high prices, and they they literally said "we don't care" when I said I was actually from Tyler, TX.

Totally overpriced unless you're going for the House of Cards type dive. They don't have mac & cheese .
