Eloi Granado

Nice palace of the old Sultanate harem. Also, here is the room where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk died, which makes this a really relevant place for Turkish people. Good guided tours .

Maria Voronina

One of the few sights completely worth the money they ask for a visit! Huge and splendid! Prepare to wait in a queue and better go in the morning to have enough time to see everything.

Abe Dajani

Breathtaking and fascinating please. The luxury & craftsmanship Are out of this world, you have to visit. The palace cost $10 Billion in today's money, And it shows on every corner of it. Recommend.

Bogdan D.

Great ottoman palace built in europeean style; star sights are the crystal staircase, ceremonial hall and the main bathroom (last closed); harem tour not to be missed; great views over Bosphorous;

Thanos Antonis. ????????????☕????

The residence of sultans from 1856 to 1922 except the period 1889 - 1909. Be there at least 13:00 pm to see both sarayi and harem. Reachable by tram line T1( Bagcilar - Kabatas) and stop at Kabatas.

Mohsin Khan

Go early to avoid the crowds. Opens at 9am. Only guided tours allowed. 40TL for tickets to Selimniyak (45mins) and Harem (30mins) tours . If you have to choose one then definitely Selimniyak.

David

Palace interior is in a very good shape. Interesting to see how last Sultans of the Ottoman empire were living. Strong European influence and unbelievable master pieces.

Halil Özşen

I think The Best highlight point of İstanbul...So colorful and amazing building ... Afternon visit better than morning cause not so bussy... After visit drink Turkish Tea when you watch The Bosphorus

Steve Steve

If you're traveling alone you may skip the ticket line by going directly to the booth front. Just look for the: "Reserved tours and Individuals" sign. Price is: 40TL for the Museum and Harem combo.

Lucille Fisher

Magnificent sprawling palace inspired by the best of mid 19th century European style . Fingers crossed you're led by a good enthusiastic tour guide .

Dalal ALrahmah

Awesomr otman decoration with western style . Ceilings are made of wood carving and covered with gold. English tour leader included and she was very kind. ????????????

Chinemenma Yoruk

Every room offers you a peak into the lives royalty. It’s gorgeous while a little desperate almost as though trying to cling to what was left of their empire through these grand displays of wealth.

Pol Gomà Deàs

Really nice Palace worth visiting. 40tl for the full entrance, 30tl for the official building. Don't expect a great guide nor a small group.

Last home of the Ottoman ruler and an astonishing place to visit in terms of luxury and extravagant purchases. Everything has been well preserved and there is an excellent art collection Read more

Neda Mobara

Clement Wong

Mobile phone down, no photographing , full heart memory in soul ! Very nicely preserved n tightly managed. Worthy 2 hours slowing sipping the Ottoman royal heritage. Thank you Foursquare !

Laura Kalbag

The gardens are lovely and well-worth a visit but the tours of the building are slow, repetitive and don't give you very much interesting information. Lots of rooms filled with chairs!

Ghadah Ababtain

Amazing palace .. but staff should respect Arab more! One Arab was taking photo (which is forbidden) and non Arab person too ! they shout and say bad words about Arab only ! ???? stereotype

Fedor Muhosranskiy

Outstanding and fascinating inside and outside, tickets absolutely worth their price, it took 1,5-2 hours to examine it, there is a café on territory

Niffy Spector

Long line to get in. Must pay for two tours - harem and main palace . Don't skip the harem tour . Also they make you wear plastic bags on your shoes to keep palace carpets clean so don't wear sandals.

Elie

Make sure you visit this when in Istanbul. Go early in the morning to avoid queues as much as you can. They provide tours of the place, which is quite impressive. Photos aren't allowed though.

Sveti

Nice palace for old things lovers. Pity that photo is forbidden. A bit expensive 40TL per person. Nice souvenire shop with good quality - I got silver badge for 15TL.

Mary jr

If you are interested in architecture , decoration and history DO NOT leave istanbul wirhout visiting Dolmabahçe sarayı!

Casey Grenet

Dolmabahçe Palace which is the last residence of the Ottoman Empire, is located along the beautiful bosphorus line . Don’t forget to take a photo in front of the famous gate!

Marly

Doesn't take müzekart/pass + increased prices for foreigners. Audio guide rental is free with ID or $/€/₺ deposit, it gives a lot of context. Ideally visit the older Topkapı palace first.

Yacoub A

Very nice palace and enjoyable tour .. There are two parts of this tour take SELAMLIK tour better than Harem tour or u can combine them for 1.5 hours

Mario Debout

Looks very impressive from the outside. Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful but very artificial. No real marmor. Everything is painted to make the impression and to simulate french and austrian palaces

Nuri Jeon

One of the most architecturally important place in Istanbul. Try to get there early if you want to see everything. It has ISIC discount .

Dalia Almuslem

We had to ask them to save our tickets for the day after because of the rain on that day. The staff were helpful.
