A must see if you are visiting Sacramento. Within walking distance to most hotels in downtown. Ride the river cruise for a relaxing tour of the waterfront .
Had a layover planned on my Amtrak trip and this was the perfect place to spend it. Right near the station and plenty to do. Lots of stuff closes fairly early though. Plan accordingly.
Make sure to attend during Gold Rush days! Tons of entertainment, vendors to shop, places to eat, and areas to relax and people watch .
Usually only go down during the daytime, but did enjoy the evening with my family and the Theatre of Lights. Being able to visit some of the stores was nice, and early enough to miss the bar crowd.
Celebrating Mardi Gras in Old Sacramento on March 1? Be sure to stop by Laughs Unlimited, River City Saloon, O'Mally's, Vega's, Fanny Ann's, and Coconut Grove to see live music .
Evangeline's and stage 9 are always a blast to check out for unique gifts . Candy heaven and Rocky Mountain chocolate are the places to go for your sweets
Restaurants and rail museum , all within easy walking distance from each other.
Had a great time walking around. There's a costume mansion with three floors of costumes .
You cannot miss the opportunity to visit this part of Sacramento, really good place to visit.
It would be easier to plunge in the atmosphere of the Wild West if the streets in the historic part were cleaned from cars!
