Great gym , especially compared to the Steve Nash Gyms . Very friendly staff , clean , well organized , and it is not all about squeezing every penny out of the customers
The only Y I've been to that always has benches and squat racks available most times. Sparkling clean and the temperature is just right. No packs of meathead teens hogging the equipment. Unbelievable.
Don't believe those telling you it's too crowded . I go @ peak business & finish within the hour, never waiting more than 5 minutes for a bench . Relax, stop making excuses & enjoy Vancouver's best gym .
Love this gym . Everyone is very friendly and its a very reasonable price for what you get. It can get super packed so make sure you have alternate routines to save time.
Usually come after I'm done my day shift, anywhere between 230 and 6, and have yet to have to wait for anything! the plus membership is worth not carting a wet towel around after! lol
If you're looking for a great gym , the membership here is super affordable ! The best times to work out are between 8-10am M-F! Maximize your workout--roar!
Fantastic equipment and very affordable gym rates. Come on Sunday nights if you want it to be more empty.
Best place to swim downtown. They have a great selection of classes too, including yoga .
Best gym in Vancouver by far - not perfect but damn good :)
Get in shape, this is the place to go! Nice friendly staff and great community events .
Just opened May3, Great staff . Loved the facilities and the basketball court is amazing. Free trial for the whole month of May 2010. Highly Kuuala Recommended 5/5
Great place. Come at off times or it can be crazy! I wish the cafe was open later..,
Putting your membership on hold requires 2 weeks notice in advance of your MONTHLY PAYMENT DATE. So in effect it's a 6-week notice. Beware!
Spankin' new facilities with everything you may need.
Great facilities. First week is free!
The best gym in town by far…
They have now added wifi . At least in the lobby but it can be picked up from upstairs in some places too. Ask for password at member desk.
They have some free trials :)
The TGIF cycle class is a crazy good workout (courtesy of Trevor). Highly recommended before a boozy Friday night.
I don't recommend you sign-up at this gym as it's become extremely crowded and for the price you are better off going to Club 16 which is much less crowded and only $20/mo.
The green cloths are for wiping down MACHINES, not ur face. SHARE them, don't hog them.
Watched the hockey game last night while working out instead of on the couch ! (via Scoville) Read more
Wifi Password: RobertLee (July 2012).
Try out the Wed Total Chisel class . Total body conditioning, tough, fun, and gets you in a good sweat
If your looking to get in for the gym membership . I wouldn't bother, way to crowded as they sold too many memberships .
Core Essentials with Frank! She really knows her stuff!!
Ask the friendly staff to book a body fat test.
Don't bother coMing between 5-7 pm on a weekday. Packed as fark
Licious makes good after work out smoothies . Mmmmmm
Try an energy drink before your workout
the hot tub / jacuzzi is great after a good work-out
This is actually the yWca not the yMca .. The yMca is in Burrard St :)
A new treadmill put in allows more than 35 minute runs. YES!
Affordable rates, but way too crowded during evening hours, including up to closing
Don't forget your shorts .
Open Basketball Friday nights 8-10pm. Get a nice run in.
if you're hoping to get a bench , don't bother... ever. WAY too busy!
The steam room is always malfunctioning.....
Complete at least 2km at 15.1km pace.
Some of the wraps are a little too healthy (bland), but you can fix that with a wee container of chili sauce by request for 35 cents. - Sharon D
It's completely renovated! With all new machines and friendly staff! Love it here :) - Courtney Campbell
Sign up for a OneCard, and you get 3 free days to use the pool and gym facilities here and any other Vancouver community centre! - Ardie Guiang
Great amenities and equipment. I’ve only tried the indoor cycling class and depending on the instructor it can be amazing or repetitive - Andrés Arrieta Molina
Their products are quite pricey but it's very accessible plus they offer not just fresh produce but organic stuff as well. - N
