Food options are amazing, the candy aisle alone is bonkers, and don’t miss the bookstore in the back right corner. Great selection of anime , manga , books , films , and more.
Love it here. Great market with Asian food and a great selection of Asian gifts and more. Good sushi and fresh cuts of fish , too. My boyfriend who lived 9 years in the Philippines loves it here too.
Check out the Ramune selection next to the bakery goods-- there are some fantastic flavors and themed bottles (ie., Doraemon, Hello Kitty and Pokemon)
Everything Japanese grocery related, including an extensive sake selection , a Japanese bookstore and hot and cold deli . There is also a Beard Papa inside the store and a Ramen shop next door.
For those saying that things are overpriced you need to realize these are import specialties. It's not like you need this stuff to live, its a fun place with great stuff, so enjoy it. Prices are good
Very clean market with solid hot food. Ramen next door is good as well .
I love this place so much, I have to visit every time I'm in the Portland area. So many fun and unusual foods, I like to choose random items to taste.
Excellent grocery selection (sake too!) and take some time to look over their shodo (paper & calligraphy brushes) section. They have any dish you might want to eat or drink out/off of & MORE!
There is more stuff in here than you would believe. I could have spent my entire paycheck on food. Great selection of Japanese-interest and Japanese-language publications.
Amazing selections of fish , sushi and other delicious foreign foods. Their fresh produce is to die for.
Tofu puffs and everything Asian! Not just Japanese this place has tons of different beers and foods.
Excellent selection of seafood and the stationary store has some cool gift ideas.
Great variety of stuff here, and the cream puffs are to die for.
This place has the most AMAZING fish ! Sushi grade even! And the produce is almost better than any farm or Saturday market !
I like Hmart better, although their gift section is pretty cool.
I like this place but A LOT of the items are over priced! $5 for chips , $4+ for candy , and almost $10 for Ramune . (´・ω・`)
Red hot dogs !!!!! Plus they have kiwi golds!
This chain still makes Moriguchi’s original fish cakes , but now it also stocks an entire continent’s worth of products from Japan, China, Thailand, and Vietnam. Read more
The first register has a bunch of cool figures on the shelf
Smaller than Fubonn but less crowded and slightly friendlier staff
In addition to the grocery section, check out the deli...amazing prepared Bento and Sushi boxes are almost always prepared and ready to go!
Great place to get raw meat for your dog. Chiken feet and turkey tails, woof!
The festeval they have in the fall is pretty cool.
Love me some fresh fish
A bit pricy but such a big store with a wide Asian food selection, it'd be a shame if you're in a hurry!
Probably the best place to buy oysters on the west side!
Sake , candy , snacks , deli
I love this store. The chocolate cream filled pastry horns are to die for.
The Momokawa Pearl sake is great, one of the best sakes I've tasted.
Be careful what you buy here. A lot of it is overpriced and non Japan items can be found at Safeway or Whole Foods for half the price.
Live seafood !
Sea bass from the fresh seafood
Japanese candy
Nice assortment of seafood . Even makes their poke fresh daily!
Curry rice .
Papa beards coming soon!
Far and away the best sake selection in town .
Get a bunch of weird Japanese canned drinks
メロンパン ♡Melon Pan! (れ・ω・な)
Lots of Japanese manga and novels. There's also DVDs and CDs, but not as big of a selection. - Dan Valenzuela
Octopus is outstandingly tender! - Joel Peterson
Fantastic prices, excellent produce, some of their private label items are not the same, or even close to the name brands so compare carefully. Also they don't take credit cards a shock to me. - Paul Cohen
Best selection of fresh fish and produce, with a convenient deli for hot food and self serve dim sum. - Malcolm Chang
Their prices on more unusual cheeses are good. My fav is Cambozola. Good deals on olives, artichoke hearts & almonds. I buy the meringue cookies for my friends who are allergic to gluten there. - Doreen Cadd
