Amazing service, food and wine . Loved the smoked eel , smoked cods roe , beef mince on duck fat toast , and crispy pigs cheek! Filling, large portions so it’s best to share.
Who would have thought the British grab can be tasty?! It helps when it's washed down with the French wine ...
Get the bone marrow appetiser !! All of the mains are delicious because they use seasonal ingredients . Also don't skip dessert !! The nectarine and almond tart was the best I've ever had
Daily menu that changes between lunch and dinner . Recommend getting lots of small plates to share. 6 or 7 small plates , 2 desserts and wine came to £115 with (good) service. V full and satisfied!
A paradise for the adventurous eater! Starters are a good amount of food--get 2 per person (3 if you're really hungry) so you can try a little bit of everything (there's much much variety!)
One of the best restaurants in London. Excels at traditional British food. Lovely wine selection all pairs very nicely with the dishes. I love the roasted marrow here.
I’d forgotten just how brilliant this place was. Unrivalled in delicious simplicity. The fried braun and cress is excellent. Pickled anchovies also. Eve’s pudding . Yum.
Get the bread . And the wine .In all seriousness, St. John Bread and Wine excels at both. The lentils were exquisite, the lamb was tender and juicy, and the ginger cake was divine.
hearty English food , with a nod to the food of the past with a modern twist. whole roast suckling pig , need i say more! apart from this will need to be ordered in advance. yum yum
... the roasted marrow bones with parsley salad , rock salt and toast is still the single dish that sums up for me the renaissance of English cooking and flicks a very British V-sign at French cuisine Read more
Had my 30th birthday dinner there with my girlfriend and it was great! Amazing food! Great staff ! Overall chill place!
Had very high points in our meal. Hearts and sweetbreads were amazing. Some "just okay" dishes as well . Comfortable space with impeccable, yet friendly , service.
Order a bunch of small plates to share. A few of my favorites were the smoked cod roe , salted beef , mussels , pastrami . Definitely save room for Madeleines .
Great bacon sandwich for breakfast to kick start your day! The yoghurt is the healthy yet delicious choice. MUST TRY: CUSTARD DONUTS
Amazing food. Super delicious. Bone marrow is a definite must!
All the food we had during our meal was lovely and the goose fois pictured set the tone for the meal.
What a superb!! Every single plate is quite valuable. A bottle of red (house) wine is 17£ for taking away (which is really reasonable)
The menu here is arranged in time-of-day order and beside 11am you'll find "Seed cake and a glass of Madeira " (£6.80). This combination is a particular favourite of chef-proprietor Fergus Henderson . Read more
I love this place. Everything I've had here had been delicious. Eccles cake and cheese is a must must must have! Weird combo but totally works.

Even vegetarians can get a great meal here! Make sure to save room for puddings !
Proper British seasonal food . I almost always end up ordering roast pork or lamb but fish dishes are good too. Don't forget that you can buy bread and cakes to take away . The granola is to die for
The lamb is delicious, the meat is cooked perfectly and the fennel is very sweet. A glass of côté du Rhône and it's perfect.

Next time someone you like talks badly of the british cuisine , take them here to show them the error of their ways :). It's not cheap , though: Most of the tapas-style dish are around 6 to 16 pounds.
More casual and easier to get a reservation than the main location. Food is just as good though. Don't forget to order the blood cake .
A great alternative to the original St John - menu changes daily and is composed mostly of small plates . There was yummy cold pheasant yesterday + to die for desserts . (2 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
You will find dishes here which you will not find anywhere else, dishes dropped from the English menus with rationing and WWII.
Everything is simple and delicious. Staff vary from surly to friendly , but the food more than makes up for it
St. John has been proving for a few years that gorgeous British fare doesn't have to be complicated or expensive . An absolute must.
good and simple British cuisine , might need to book in advance, wine list is my favourite

Great service, perfect kippers, and what was unquestionably the best bacon sandwich I’ve ever eaten.
The food is amazing and the menu is ever changing with fantastic sharong dishes. Friendly and laid back atmosphere with brilliant bread and wine list , this could possinly be londons best restaurant .
Try the kif Offal , Bacon and Lentils main dish, and the Bleuburry & Almond Tart . Starters a bit expensive though.
Come for breakfast , order a pot of tea and bacon sandwich .
Friendly staff , honest food and nice atmosphere. Delicious lemon pie
menu changes but smoked and pickled things are always great. get the chocolate cake with caramel ice cream for dessert . i always get a loaf of their fabulous bread to take away .
Amazing British cuisine . Offal dishes, and the bakery is a plus, madeleines and brownies are to die for. Full review... Read more
Good food, especially warm madeleines ! However, a bit pricy and pretentious compared to the food quality and the portions... Wine selection is big but expensive ! Not sure to go back!
Excellent food nice environment the pie fantastic
This branch of St John serves an outstanding breakfast . Blood pudding is the best I know. Unfortunately service is slow as hell.

Amazing food that you've never had before . Great wine list too. Superb staff
Brave, big flavours when it comes to offal . A long wine list to explore.
Custard filled doughnut tasted OK.the dough itself was great but I didn't like the texture of the filling
Hmm... I can see the appeal if you're moneyed, but £7 for a small plate of raw cauliflower and beans in mayo and mustard is way over my budget, I'm afraid. Bread is delicious though.
Not my thing,, wet with a mate, m staff are informal; , slightly older * very While Lars was demolishing most o Chester, Zoo , ,Had wine ,, great place, still can it the Bar -
grab a Bacon sandwich and a pot of tea between 10 and 11, you will not be disappointed. huge and tasty, i could eat the home made ketchup with a spoon
