The four figures around the rim were originally designed as drinking fountains , and visitors can still drink from them. The water that flows from these figures is fresh, not chlorinated, water.
Great venue for families. The fountain is beautiful ! This summer, Thursday's are salsa night, with a live band and packed "dance floor !"
Having a father/son dinner here at McCormick and Schmidt's. The atmospher is so phenomenal it makes you want to upgrade your vocabulary just to consume the incredible food served.
A great place to hang, especially during events ; Opening Day, Cincinatti Pig Marathon, Taste of Cincinatti. Be sure to sign ORG petition to give Ohio the vote on medical marijuana .

Nice place to rest after walking around downtown Cincy trying to find something to do. Plenty of seats to watch the changing colors on the cool fountain .
Love this place, especially when they have the ice skating rink in the winter.
Really pretty area for get togethers and there's an ice skating rink in the winter.
When you park at fountain square, use your credit card on the way in, instead of getting a ticket, then you don't need to pay at the kiosk. Just use your card again at the end as your 'ticket'!
For great photos of the fountain : set your camera on a tripod and use a long exposure (2-5 seconds) to capture the running water. Get Carew or the colored lights above Rock Bottom in the background.
I cannot wait for dancing to start up again. Has a nice big screen to view movies and sports . Cincinnati's Fountain Square is Nice.

The fountain statue is called the 'Genious of Water'. This is out of irony because the guy tasked with giving it a name in 1987 drew a blank and all his friends mocked him like oh you're a real genius
Nice place to hang when the weather is nice. They show lots of sporting events on the big screen
This fountain was founded in 1871 & was a gift from Henry Probasco in memory of Tyler Davidson . Probasco traveled to Munich & commissioned a bronze allegorical fountain named The Genius of Water .
