The ordering system is unique. You first pay for your order at a vending machine located at the entrance of the restaurant , and fill out a form on what type of ramen you want (tenderness spice etc)

Get ready to wait but it is worth it. The dining experience is great - sitting on the counter, separated from others by wooden panels and the food coming via a window in front. The food was great!

Ichiran is a good standard for beginners in ramen in Japan. Open 24 hours this Shibuya location is near the station in the basement . They have an English menu and a it is very consistent. Porky broth.

24 hours , quintessential Tokyo experience. When choose the taste, Avoid strong taste, it means salty here. Boiled egg with perfect yolk is a must. And the most expensive noodle type worth the price.

A solid ramen . It's very much a great solitary experience. Order your ramen and sit in a booth never making eye contact. Makes it very much a bit of a ritual to savour the noodles .

Be willing to split up sitting with your friends because at the end of the day it doesn't matter. You sit in a booth by yourself and you can be seated quicker to enjoy the delicious ramen !

There are two in Shibuya. This is the smaller of the two with long cues. Pick the other one for a shorter wait. Google Maps shows busy times so you will know if you are at the right one.

The ramen was okay. Not as flavourful as I would have liked but it was spicy ! The side order of beef was delicious. Don't forget the extra ramen noodles !!

The individual booth lets you be singularly focused on the tonkotsu . The broth was lighter than other establishments' take, yet still rich enough to make leaving an unfinished bowl impossible.

Cheap delicious fast food , it's customisation on one type of bowl, don't be put off if its your first time. You can also fold the booths for more people to each together. Order the egg YUM.

Be prepared to queue or come late. Great experience, you're served in a personnal box at the bar , the only interaction you get from the waiter is his hands serving your ramen !
