It's a very cool place to visit! You can jump between Arizona and Nevada , the state line is in the middle of the Dam ! Park inside the parking facility and keep your car out of the sun.
How can you NOT like this Fantastic Big Gigantic Engineering Marvel ? It's so DAMN BIG I just really, really like it. HOLYCRAP IT'S BIG
Great Historical place. Definitely watch the historical videos. Paid 10.00 went through security. Gives you a whole new concept!!
Awesome. Did electric plant tour and then visitors center and pics. Incredible beauty and an engineering marvel.
You don't have to pay for parking if you just wanna walk around and take pictures. Go past the parking garage and on the Arizona side youll find some parking spots . Also check out the new bridge .
The bridge that they completed within the last few years saves you a ton of time if you're coming in from Arizona and don't want to see all the sites. 50+ mph the whole way.
The damn is great, but the tour really wasn't that good. It showed only three rooms, one of which was the generators. You can certainly skip the tour .
Impressive. Free car park if you cross the dam from Nevada
What an amazing wonder this was and it was hot as hell too almost 120 degrees that day????????????. I took some really great shots and enjoyed the whole tour .
Gorgeous views of both Lake Mead and the Memorial bridge . Parking on the Nevada side is $10, and parking on the Arizona side is free. We went with Arizona.
Definitely a must do! For a more interesting tour , take the power plant for more information and education .
I highly recommend the dam tour . Very interesting. Not for anyone who suffers from claustrophobia or has problems with the heat. Bring water. Cafe on site. Parking $7.
really cool to see! there's a sign on the dam that shows the border between arizona and nevada that's cool to see!
You can pay to park in the garage on the NV side, or drive across to the AZ side, up the hill a little way, and park for free at one of the roadside parking areas.
If you're nearby, you absolutely cannot miss out on stopping by here. It's just stunning.
Start off your Hoover Dam tour by taking a boat tour to the dam from Lake Mead ; it is well worth the extra money!
Remarkable engineering feat with amazing views . Beware of the summer heat--- was 122 when I was here in late June
Came here on way to Grand Canyon. Go very early to avoid the crowd. Definitely must try the helicopter try
Come at sunrise and you'll have the whole Dam for yourself! Great experience!
The tour offered here takes about 45 minutes and worths a check
Power plant tour was awesome. Informative, clean , and a sight to see. Bring a bottle of water. You can refill for free. Otherwise 2.50 a small bottle
Make sure you stand on the Nevada and Arizona line and take a picture. There isn't an actual line but there is a plaque that tells you where it is. You stand at 2 places at 1 time. Very cool!
Awesome sight! A must go! Look out for the time divider btwn Nevada & Arizona in center of crest over the dam !
Amanda is a funny and well informed tour guide. Spend the $15 and go into the dam to see the generators and the hard work so many men did.
You can't reserve the longer $30 tour so get there early to avoid a long wait . Also helps with parking and the heat.
Beautiful place. One of 7th Wonder of the World. Must visit if you are in Las Vegas .
Take the guided tour , and make it the full-blown version-you won't be sorry. You'll go deep inside the damn, look out (and get to photograph ) at the Pat Tilman Memorial Bridge from the Dam 's middle.
Should visit the Dam while you’re in Vegas . Worth visit!
Take the dam tour (no pun intended). It's awesome and you get a chance to take a picture from one of the four air ventilations on the south side of the Hoover Dam.
Iconic American treasure. Visitors center was closed for renovations, so was disappointed. Had previously visited and it is unique
Have plenty of water when visiting during the summer...temp was 107 degrees...felt like 120. Even an employee said Hoover Dam was like a "pizza oven" since the concrete exacerbates the temperature!
It'll leave you speechless. I didn't expect it to be so amazing. What a great piece of architecture .
This seventh wonder of the world is amazing... and VERY Powerful! Be sure to check out this hotspot while visiting the Las Vegas , NV, area!

I’m glad we stopped. It was quite interesting. Didn’t like going down in the elevator though. They shove everybody & their brother in that thing.
Bring a camera and take all the dam pictures you want! Wow! Bigger and more impressive in person.
Excellent place, sorry for the water to be so low and that day was REALLY HOT but I will come back
