It is a cool local coffee shop ,I really like vibe there.I like that there is a lot of free space,it is not too crowded . Coffee is really delicious and I will always visit it when I am at Grand Rapids.
Madcap is a big deal. The majority of their coffee focus is on roasting & fostering relationships with coffee growers around the world, which is done by visiting farms , no matter how remote. Read more
I had the tumeric ginger tea and great service. My daughter had the apple cider iced. Great ambiance and plenty of sun. If I lived in Grand Rapids this would be a regular spot for me. I
Destination for anyone into coffee . Definitely the highest ceiling I've ever seen in a coffee shop and some of the nicest views along with excellent coffee and service.
The wait is a little longer than some may like, but is definitely well worth it. Grab one of their delicious baked good and enjoy it while you wait for your expertly crafted beverage.
A little slice of Portland in Michigan. Brilliantly smooth espresso with a seltzer back (!) and a buttery African single origin drip that was beyond beyond.
Madcap is among the best coffee roasters worldwide. Buy a bag or get a pour over . Worth it every time.
Locals love it. I want to love it too. Their beans make good coffee (buy some for home). But every time I've gone in, they're out of chai and I get rude responses for not ordering something else.
Madcap roasts their own beans and has recently expanded their roasting operations. Great coffee joint that rivals the likes of Stump Town Coffee in Portland, OR.
Their latte and it was very good, but if you are feeling adventurous, I wouldn't recommend their Almost Perfect (espresso, grenadine, cinnamon ) there was too much going on in that tiny glass.
The drinks are phenomenal. Everything is of the highest quality. Hard to go back to the office coffee after trying this place.
I like to order a Cappuccino with a little caramel , but apprently they don't customize drinks at all? The 12 items on the board is all you can order!
I recommend that you stand and witness your handcrafted drink being made. It is part of the MadCap experience. It's awesome to watch coffee happen.
Fabulous atmosphere! If the WiFI isn't working, ask them to reset it, takes 3-4 mins & internet works like a charm!
Try the Moscow Mule , in which espresso and house-made ginger-lime syrup are stirred together and strained over ice, then topped with sparkling water. Read more
If you love espresso but can't decide whether or not you want milk in it, try the "one and one". Yes, friend, you can have it both ways.
Had the iced coffee that the barista recommended! Love the regular coffee and the overall feel of the shop.
Single origin espresso , macchiato , cortado ! Cannot go wrong! Great service and great coffee ! Much love to madcap :)
It's not on the menu but they have vanilla syrup (that's made in-house) available. So good!
I loved all the great seating, including the chance to sit outside in the sunshine!
Iced Americano and Nitro Cold brew are me and my boyfriend favorites.

Cafe Miel is to die for and I haven't seen it on any other coffee shop menu. In love with this place!
Nice coffee shop to have a coffee and do your stuff. Very good coffee and very nice environment!
Nitro cold brew is the best I've ever had!
Coffee is AMAZING. Can't get anything like this anywhere else in the city .

Worth the wait and pricing. Take a folgers drinker here and change their life.
Really good coffee and a nice atmosphere in which to enjoy it.
Cafe Miel is pretty good... the WiFi is pretty horrible because so many people are connected to it. They need to upgrade their router! Not my favorite cafe though... very elitist feeling...
Some of the best effen coffee in North America! Come here and leave changed!
Aaaaamazing coffee . Every detail is incredibly well-tended to.
perfect place to chill out and drink EXCELLENT coffee .
Great coffee and great style points.
Hands down the best coffee around. No fluff, no ungodly sweeteners, just pure bean. Bliss
Disappointed that they don't serve breves . But the staff offered to make a latte with whole milk and it was delicious ☕
Try the coffee flight!
Come for the cappuccino , stay for the Herman Miller furniture
Cafe Miel . Joy to the sense of taste, smell, and sight.
The lake effect hand brewed coffee is great!
