Had to queue to get in, but it has a cosy, small venue vibe once you're in. Starters are a little pricey , but very tasty. Try the chicken kara-age
Best value authentic ramen I've had in Soho / central London. Scrap Wagamama, this is way better. Their signature tonkotsu ramen is delicious. Nice craft beer too!
Tiny little place with one vegetarian meal , but it's delicious. Cover everything you get in their chilli sauce .
If you don't like a rich broth, this isn't for you. This is legit- thick and rich like you really get in Japan. I eat it constantly when I'm in London- unbelievably good.
Tiny Soho germ of the now booming ramen craze. This place probably has the best stock. And best noodles . And definitely the best chicken karaage . Come alone with a book and hunker down. Read more
Tasty vegetarian ramen available. They make the noodles on site and they be good. Not cheap but very popular.
Good food. The prawn goyzas are really good as well as the tempura squid , pairs well with a glass of Umeshu. The red mullet and shiso tempura tho aren't really tasty.
There's a lot of bad chat here about the Ramen . It's damned tasty, it may not be authentic Japanese but that's not the point. IMHO the Soho Ramen is better than the Tonkotsu, but they're both tasty!
Go for the tonkotsu ramen ! Their place in Mare street is a lot better but this is good as well . Note to management: cleaning the toilets is not a monthly task, it's three times daily at least
Probably the best bowl of ramen I've had in London – though still room for improvement. The signature tonkotsu is what it should be: creamy, subtly meaty, topped with succulent pork and oozy egg .
Best ramen I've had for a long time! Needles just chewy enough and broth just right. Go for the Tokyo!
Excellent! Price of tonkotsu is the same as everywhere else in London. Since making their own noodles , now the best place for this specialty. Karaage & rayu is the shiznit!
Small choice of menu and serious about ramen ! Loved the Tonkotsu soup ramen , you can taste the pork broth and noodles had a pretty smooth texture. The gyoza wasn't anything special but overal good.
Noodles thin and really soft, completely lacking in bite and texture! Deep MSG-less pork broth and succulent slices of pork belly with seasoned free-range eggs sort of make up for it.
Mmm! Ramen was great, Tokyo better than Tonkotsu, buth both really good. But the winner of the night were the pork gyoza and the pickled cucumber !
I always come here for the chicken Kara age and a bowl of Tokyo ramen with chili oil n bits of course! Best eggs out of all the ramen places .
Probably the best bowl of Tonkatsu ramen I had so far in London. Well cooked noodle and the soup is to die for.
Tonkotsu is one of 52 places selected for inclusion in New Gourmet London. A print guide and iPhone app to the best new restaurants that opened in 2012. www.newgourmetguides.com
Finished my bowl of Tonkotsu to the bottom. Just perfect portion with delicious pork belly and flavorful broth. Real good meal overall :)
As an Asian and jap food lover, I would say the ramen is not fantastic but is good enough and worth the try. The service is good and place is clean as well .
The pork , ginger & garlic gyozas are amazing. And it comes on the lunch menu !
Tonkotsu's "Tonkotsu" ramen is delicious but only if you really love pork ! Otherwise the "Tokyo" Ramen is pretty nice. The seasoned egg is the best!
Good size of pot, delicious ramens and good value . If you want to eat ramen , try Tonkotsu.
Small menu but everything's delicious. Especially the tonkotsu - an almost creamy soup with tender pork . I would have it again in a second.
A little bit expensive but really excellent ramen . This ramen is the closest to ramen I have tasted in Japan. Really good.
2nd visit here and had Tokyo ramen . Delicious soy sauce base (I prefer with chilli ) but clumpy noodles and tough pork .
Lovely rustic environment and delicious big bowl of ramen Tonkotsu!
Best not to consider the garlic on the table optional. Press in 3-4 cloves and add some chile paste. Sends the ramen soaring!
If you can't face the queues at Bone Daddies, this is a great alternative. Nice touches, good cocktails and flawless dumplings .
Phwoar... :-DThat was an amazing Tonkotsu Ramen ... Easily a contender for best ramen in Londinium...
Pricey but delicious bowl of Tonkotsu. Try it! Goes well with the 8 Ball IPA .
The tonkotsu here is pretty good, lighter than at kanada or ippudo. Chicken karaage is the winner though!!
Tonkotsu ramen , very tasty but much heavier than your usual ramen . Gyozas though were just perfect
extra garlic is a must. fortunately they provide fresh garlic and a garlic press at the table.
Don't leave without trying their signature "Tonkotsu" ramen !
Great portions at a very good price. Also, best decor for an Asian in Soho
Chicken rice was delicious and flavoursome ????????????????
Nice ramen , yuzu lemonade wasn't as expected but staff was really nice and had the lemonade remade. Fantastic customer service.
Good ramen . The soup is one of the best in London.
Good for late meal. Ramen is good, and worth trying in London
Extra egg portion totally recommended for the ramen !! I might even ask for 2 extra eggs next time!
8/10 Good place for Ramen . Recommended if you're in the area.
Good ramen spot with fast service
Ramen , noodles made fresh on site, best mochi and flavours
Gyoza dumplings were great. Duck salad was ok. The duck wasn’t great, too dry. Drinks menu good. As well as cocktails .
The tonkotsu is obviously a winner. Great mochi ice cream desserts too!
Lovely brothy ramen in a rustic communal dining space. Don't listen to the haters; the service is fine. Do need to sort out the shitty music though.
Get the Tonkotsu. Add loads of garlic . Drink a craft beer . Profit.
No wait, quick service . The tonkatsu broth and noodles were good. However the tamago (ramen egg ) was over cooked and the meat was just okay. Good for quick bite and not much else
Go for the very good tonkotsu, the clue's in the name of the place.
Shuromaru Hakata ramen and Aka vegetarian ramen are really good! Gyoza as well. Students (with ID) get a main dish Gyoza refreshment = 10£ on weekdays. - Kostas
Try the Tonkotsu ramen with chashu pork and 20 hour cooked pork bone broth. Awesome and Fulsome in equal measure. - Michael Hadwin
So exciting to find gluten-free options. The steamed buns with fried chicken are an absolute delight and I'll definitely be back for some more noodles soon. - Sasha Filimonov
Always brilliant and open late. Their seasonal flavours ensure ice cream is a must all year round. - Betony Kelly
Try cornetto! You can have as many flavor as you like. Mango and pistachio! - dauberge
