Incredible place. It's a shame I only discovered it now after living not far from it for six years. Be back every summer.
Breathtaking natural wonder, and an amazing view of the lake and shoreline. Don't mind the Simpson's-esque nuclear plant in the background; sure it's plenty safe ;)
Nice hiking trails and camping areas. Being close to Lake Michigan is wonderful.
On February 15, 2019 the Dunes became officially Indiana's first National Park and the nation's 61st.
Whether you enjoy scouting for rare species of birds or flying kites on the sandy beach , the national lakeshore's 15,000 acres will continually enchant you.
All the beaches are great. Some are cleaner than others, but they're all hood places to bring your family.

Wonderful and private picnic tables but no stroller access to the beach ...
