Local diner that is cheap , no frills, and serves delicious macadamia nut pancakes !! Will definitely be back.

This place is busy but well worth it! Ate here twice on our vacation and would highly recommend the loco moco and the oxtail soup . Now we can see why the locals rave!!

#TipTop is a historic slice of Kauai . Elvis, the Coco Palms Resort (Blue Hawaii location) are long gone, but Tip Top lives on as the 50's/60's affordable place to sleep & eat.

I prefer Ono Family Restaurant in Kapaa for breakfast , but if you are looking for breakfast in Lihue this is a good spot. The locals come here too.

Grand Slam breakfast ... Better have an appetite! Tasty banana pancakes , rice , eggs , Spam. Yum.

Tasty local fare at good prices. We split the Chinese Special and it was plenty of food for two.

Got the grand slam - the goteburg sausage was spicy , but the outstanding part was the banana pineapple pancakes ! Try them with coconut AND maple !

Try the Coffee - The sugar is in a container that looks like Mac Nut Syrup !! Love the service trolleys!!

Try the Grand Slam - #GrandSlam w #GoteburgSausage (OMFG. LOVE IT!!) scrambled eggs , hash browns . First time eating Goteburg !!!

Visitors: Leave this to the locals. You won't consider it to be anything special.

The pancakes and fried rice are the best I've had.

Loco Moco with fried rice ! Then you add in a hash brown for crunch and Tabasco for a little kick! YUM!!!

Oh, and grab a bag of Cinnamon Toast Bites for dessert . Yum!

If you have a peanut allergy, DO NOT ORDER THE OXTAIL SOUP . It has peanuts in it.

Very low prices, but they are pretty serious about stopping serving breakfast at 11am. Also, lunch is only served from 11 to 1:45. I'm serious. No exceptions! Lol

Local atmosphere, almost hospital setting with waitress in nurse scrubs pushing around trays. But good loco moco

No breakfast after 11:30AM. Banana mac nut pancakes are the way to go!

if you just landed in Kauai and looking for a good breakfast spot .. this is it! fast and tasty.. look out for the chickens crossing the street. they are closed on Mondays though!
