Good food and good service . Long wait but it was Salem in October as expected. The Lobster Martini was not a let down it was awesome and the atmosphere was a great feel. Check it out.

I came here because I knew it was on the show Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives and because I love lobster . I was disappointed. My favorite Lobster is from The Lobster Place in NY. It's hard to top.

This place is great! Get the poutine for starter. Iobster mac n cheese is delicious. The lobster roll is loaded with lobster meat . Wife got the sully burger and she loved it. Highly recommended.

Lobster roll was amazing! And SO MUCH MEAT! And don't forget to try the lobster Rangoon : To. Die. For.

That sign was a total lie! My daughter said “Everyone is so nice here. Whenever I look at them, they smile at me.”!! Also, the lobster roll was delicious!

The boiled lobster was good! Fried Shrimp basket was very good and the fried fish basket was good too. Prices are reasonable! Service was good!

I love the Lobster Shanty. It's always amazing. Fried pickles and Poutine . Great original drinks. Always a stop on my Salem bar crawl.

Drinks are great, lobster Mac & cheese is fantastic, some of the best steak tips in the state , and amazing burgers

The Connecticut style lobster roll is the best I ever had so far in the Boston area. Served with amazing french fries ...

The millionaire burger is a must try, perfect burger with deep fried brie on top.. OMG and the hand cut fries this year really make a difference

Catch a live band , sit outside and eat some good grub. This place a hidden gem that epitomizes the seafood themed dive bar .

The Lobster here is a given-lobster-Tini is unreal---go for the steak tips or fish sammich -clam chow dah is one of the best

Lobster Mac & Cheese is to die for! So delicious! Place is perfect amount of divey for this local!

If the weather permits, sit outside on the patio with a "warm beer " and enjoy the sights and sounds of Salem.

THE CLYDE BURGER is awesome. Eat it onsite or take the leftovers home. Travels well as takeout . It is yummy yummy yummiest.

The scallop bake was great! If it's hot sit outside, inside is even hotter!

Try the poutine ! Also the Onion rings are the perfect mix of fried and salty. Strong drinks !

Tip for The Lobster Shanty management...you need to get lobster bisque !!! One doesn't go to a restaurant named The Lobster Shanty for chowder . :P

Two words: Lobster Rangoon . You won't be disappointed!

The Connecticut Style Lobster Roll (butter, no mayo ) is to die for.

The Lobster Roll is to die for! This place opens right at noon, no earlier.

Great new menu. Try the Clyde burger (my fave) or the Sully, and don't miss the onion rings !

Uncle Sully Burger is my favorite burger in Salem. Even better with the black and tan onion rings ! Love the Pulled Pork Sammie here too.

Who knew the Lobster Shanty has one of the best Caesar salads around? Try it with blackened chicken .

Food is phenomenal and the drinks are strong and delicious! Tip your servers and bartenders well , they are all amazing!

Clam chowder is excellent, even though mot loaded with clams . The calamari portion size is quite small. Friendly and fast service .

Excellent fried haddock ! Great place to eat! Try the onion rings !

Great place. Some bartenders might hold a grudge if you act like an asshole. Not that I would know anything about such affairs.

Lobster Rangoon & traditional Lobster Roll

The Crab Rangoon was amazing. But the bathroom was so bad, I didn't use it.

Def try the lobster mac n cheese and the lobster roll , no such thing as too much lobster !

I have had many wonderful nights sipping cocktails outside. This visit, Haddock Sandwich was okay at best, overpriced Lobster Roll a frozen spongey mess. The Brussels were also terrible, what a shame.

Lobster Roll was excellent. So was Lobster Mac and Cheese
